I had Barry at Berklee from 89-91. I'm now back @ Berklee online and I am going to mail him. I chose Hard because all learning is hard. Barry influenced my life greatly. He is an amazing bassist and was a really nice guy to me all those years ago. =)

Barry is the man. We read charts the whole time. Much more hands on than some teachers who like to tell stories. Possibly my favorite bass instructor.

Had him as my private instructor for 3 semesters. He's so sweet and kind. Definately laidback but extremely helpful and motivates you to do well without ripping you to pieces. Highly recommended- he's good fun.

Barry is a very laid back guy and I can see how he'd make someone want to fall asleep. If you bring a lot of energy to class, you can easily draw some out of him. He really is a great player.
