Comment:

He's a funny guy to chat with but don't expect to get a clear explanation about anything out of him. Even in a class without a textbook his exams had almost nothing from the lecture material. His assignments were often unclear, and he couldn't even explain how to do certain things. As well, he uses extremely outdated methods and programs for labs.

Ben is by far my all time favourite teacher. But many people have different opinions, you either love him or hate him. Tests are fair if you study your notes and READ THE TEXTBOOK! he Is always willing to help and has so many interesting stories and experiences to tell you, definitely a unique teacher, but one of the best!

One of my favorite professors, no wait ,he is my favorite. TAKE NOTES, tests are a piece of cake if you follow along and apply yourself (which i sense people who left the negative comments did not do). Ben is a very nice guy who loves to help, and clearly loves what he does; he has inspired me to pursue more studies in this subject. Thanks Ben!

BEN WAS MY FAVOURITE PROF! And nice comment buddy about "Bible Thumpers." I am Christian and it was my favourite class. He is so funny, nicest guy ever too! The labs were hard, you just had to make sure you asked questions. Got an A+ in his class. Make sure you read the text and study lots! His tests were fair and his lectures were my favourite.

Ben Moffat is definitely one of the worst profs i have ever had in the 4 years of education i have received, like the other post stated, unless you brown nose, or do heavy amunts of drugs with him, he is not worth your time or money towards you education.

He is an interesting guy, but a horrible teacher. Not willing to help, answers your questions with questions or not a clear answer or a joke. Midterms are ridiculous, class average ranges from 55%-62%. Nothing he talks about in class is on midterms or final, they are all out of text book.The readings asked are unreasonable.This man should not teach

Ben is an awsome guy, and a great prof! He has such an interesting way of teaching, loves what he does, and really gets involved with students. Classes provided me with non-stop laughs, plenty of deep thought, and tons of knowledge. Oh ya, he is a pretty damn good guide of the USA too!

nice man, unreasonable proff. Most of the stuff he would teach us in class would be not included in the text book. In addition to his lectures he would expect us to read the text book so we would learn even more that way. He refuses to give study guides. This 'style' of teaching in addition to some absurd q. resulted in very difficult tests.

Very personable guy, but not very good when it comes to help. Midterms are insanely hard, and so are his assignments. He marks very difficultly. Needless to say, I despised every minute I was in his class. I would never take another class from him again.

i really enjoyed Ben's classes. hes a really interesting teacher and he makes you think critically about topics relating to geography. he makes geography fun and he really cares about all of his students. hes also very willing to help anytime hes free to do so. i highly reccomend him.
