Throughout the entire semester about two lectures were clear. You also have to guess your grade for the course of the class. Tests are hard but with notes and curved. She has a German accent but is still understandable. Labs are incredibly confusing so stick to the instructions in the manual.

Professor Heinz is a very friendly and smart teacher! She made evenings in her class fun. I highly recommend taking organic chemistry with her. Just make sure you don't miss labs!

I don't know who even made her a professor! Horrible grading system! no clue what ur grade is! she gave half the class BC and only a couple of students an A. No one learned a thing from her youtube was my best friend. If you just want a B or C and want to get this class over with take it with her. Often makes mistake on board so pay attention!

She was the only professor that offered Organic Chemistry so I was forced to take it with this professor. Lectures are not clear nor is her grading system. For what I heard from other classmates, she won't fail students and it's an easy A; however, I received a C. I don't recommend this professor at all.

Unfortunately she's the only organic chem professor, but be prepared to not learn a thing! I never passed one test, but managed to get a B. Talk to her and get your face known by her and you'll be fine. Don't buy her book either.

Looking for an easy A this is the teacher to go for, She curves every single Test which is awesome! If you actually want to learn then I suggest you Not miss One single class and really pay attention don't space out! Recommend having basic knowledge of chem! Google is your best friend! Long labs I suggest splitting up the work with classmates!

Professor Heinz is a really nice teacher with good intentions. She knows organic chemistry well and how to teach but is not always clear. In lab, she was NEVER there and never demonstrated how to properly set up which would be very frustrating. Just show up to class, participate, and do some self-teaching in order to do well in this class.

DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. She wrote it and it doesn't help with the class AT ALL. You don't really need to try in her class, just show up and make yourself seen. She means well but she is not good at teaching.

She is a very intelligent and nice lady, but a horrible teacher. If you asked a question it was answered with a "just give it time/google it". I felt like I taught myself very little and with Chem for Dummies books. Her book which she wrote were useless to me. No way of know your grade the entire semester either, be prepared.

Alright, where do I begin. Professor Heinz is a nice lady. If you show up to her lab and pretend you are enthusiastic...you'll get an A. I missed two tests, never turned in work and did zero quizzes. I made an A. Want to know what my class learned? Why sniffing Ether is bad.She is awful. If you have any desire to learn- don't take her. Free A.

Take chem 105 with this professor! She never gives less than a C and gives you a grade based on effort and maybe quiz scores. Quizes are "out of 6 points" but graded out of 4 (she gives you quarter points), midterm/final are impossible (stuff you never learned on them) but she curves them so everyone goes from failing to A's! She is also friendly!

funny & nice. I should've failed but she gave me a C. The lab work helps ur grade. It's not hard to figure out ur grade: keep ur graded work, look at the sylb for assign% n do a lil math..chem isn't common sense=req a lil effort on ur part. do get a lazy lab partner.

She is a fun teacher, always trying to make the class fun by making jokes. She is a bit unorganized, but if you make a small effort it is easy to get her notes (from her website). Whenever you ask a question she welcomes it and tries to explain it the best.

She is the most unorganized teacher I've ever met. There is zero online component so keeping up with your grade in the class is impossible. I turned in all the homework and extra credit, and she told us that everyone remaining in the class would get a B or an A just for being there and trying, but I still got a C. I am not a C student.

Professor Heinz was a great teacher. I had been dreading this class because I had a hard time passing basic chem. If you read the book and keep up with homework, and quizzes you will do well. She is a very intelligent woman, and is easy to approach if you need help. My advice however is to take this class by itself to insure a good grade :)

Very nice lady, means well. Be prepared to teach yourself much of the material- you MUST read the book. Read it until you understand it because she will ask questions on quizzes that may not have been in lecture. Its not an impossible class though, study and do well on tests/quizzes and you will do fine. Do your labs- easy points

Very sweet lady, but terrible teacher. Jumps back & forth between chapters in her lecture & homework(ex. we were on chapter 7 & then 10, back to 8, skipped 9, & now on 11 & will be going back to 9). Labs dont coincide w/lectures making completing them hard. Heard she wont give lower than a C. Highest midterm score in the 75-85% range so she curves.

Dr. Heinz is not that great of a teacher. However, she sets up labs that are generally fun, and her lectures are important for quizzes. Dr. Heinz is a great lady--she's compassionate, brilliant, and absolutely hilarious. She will definitely keep attention with her style.

Dr. Heinz means well. But you don't learn anything if you aren't reading the book. Study for quizzes they're worth the majority of your lec grade! If you do good on those, your in the path for at least a B, otherwise you can still get a C if you bomb those along w/the exams. Must to labs and hw though: to show effort! She is very funny!!!

She's a smart, intelligent person, but a bad teacher. She doesn't know how to communicate concepts very well. She focuses more on that you show up to class and make an effort. We never used the book except to teach ourselves the material. I recommend getting a tutor.
