A tough teacher, but not a bad one. She wants you to learn the material, not just pass the course. I took the class online so answering/explaining the answers to my questions was kinda tough, but I survived. I would take her again

Professor McCarthy might come off as a bit of a skull cracker, which I suppose she is. But she honestly cares that you learn the material and wants to set you up to be successful. If you're willing to work hard you will learn a lot from her. If you aren't sure about computer science or I.T. work then she isn't for you.

Boring long class that didn't really help me out much. All the material do well is there and if your just not thinking and being stupid she will tell you to your face. Only take if you have inclination to Computer Science.

She crams all the info for the intro class AND the advanced class down your throat. Even though you only take the intro. You start a chapter at the begining of the week and you're tested on it at the week's end. Anyone who manages to pass her class, does so by the skin of their teeth.

I found her to be a very good teacher. At points, you may think she is insane with so many tests/quizes, but you will know your C++ by the end of that class. + to her.
