Was willing to help students in any way possible by further explaining any problems, answering/working through homework, and was inviting during office hours. I definitely HAD to study, but it was a good challenge. He shows concern for all students & understands that people learn at different paces.

Although I'm not passing currently, it is not because of professor heck. He is an amazing teacher who takes his time and is understanding. He's easy to talk to and knows what he's doing. He is really funny and light hearted. Even if you don't like math, you won't be completely miserable.

The best math teacher I've ever had hands down. He didn't just regurgitate formulas like most math teachers, but he explained each formula's meaning with great detail.His lectures helped me look at math with a different perspective, and now it is one of my favorite subjects.

Dr. Heck's enthusiastic attitude gave me much encouragement to pass and actually make an A in the class. I went to Dr. Heck a WHOLE lot for help before tests and he was ALWAYS willing to help me. I had a better grasp on concepts after seeing him. He knows that Math 117 students are not great at math and he teaches the subject well.

Heck is one of the best teachers I have EVER had! I took this class in Spring 07 and made a D then took Heck and made an A. I'm not saying that this can happen for everyone but it's very possible to make a decent grade. He throughly teaches evertyhing, explains things very well, always offers help, and last but not least he's SUPER FUNNY!!!

Mr. Heck is great teacher. The best teacher I've had so far. He knows the material and he knows how to explain the material in a way that every body understands! He is also always willing to help. I passed the class with a A+. Just do the homeworks and ask him to clarify your doubts and you will make A's on the tests!.. GREAT GREAT GREAT TEACHER!

Thank the good Lord for this man. I took math 101 3 times then finally I took it again in intersession w/ him and made a B! It wasn't that it was easy, he just new how to teach to people who didn't understand!
