This class is essential for psych majors. Prof MacDonald was a clinical psychologist for many years prior to teaching, so he is full of expertise (and great stories). This course made me truly excited to enter the field of psych. Even if you're not a psych major, he is super clear about things, so anyone can understand what he's talking about.

Took this course Spring '19. Very easy. PSY101 in general is very content-dense, but Prof MacDonald has a way of making it clear and easy to remember. His anecdotes are truly what make the course worthwhile. Tests and one paper are very easy. Psych majors and non-psych majors will both benefit tremendously from this prof's course!

Professor MacDonald was a very kind and understanding professor. All you have to do is complete a review sheet (I found the answers online) and memorize them. He pulls 50 out of the 100 questions from the review packet and puts them on the test word for word. Four tests and a paper that he basically does for you. One of the easiest A's I received.

The review sheet for every test is 100 questions (you don't have to do it) he will give you answers to questions you can't figure out if you ask him. he literally copy and pastes 50 questions from the review and makes a test out of that. Its super easy to get an A. just put time into review. he's an amazing prof! take him!

Bruce is great, he's funny + class is always interesting, but I've taken 3 classes with him and regretted it. He gives 3 exams, and one final presentation (that you can do an essay for instead if you need to). There's no other graded work, so there's absolutely no room for mistakes. Don't recommend unless you're an EXCELLENT test taker.

He's a great professor. His class is never boring and doe not drag like most. He gives study guides to all of his tests so all you need to do is study and you'll get an A. I would take him again.

He moves through his power points fast. You should keep up with the reading in textbook. One group project you are only graded on your portion. Study packet is semi confusing and an odd only way to study know that packet for the tests and have questions on the review days. funny lectures are interesting good guy.

As a person he is very funny & easy to speak to. As a teacher I DO NOT RECOMMEND. if you're like me & you need lectures to be broken down & explained thoroughly he isn't he best. Moves very fast through his lectures, expects you to learn the topics more in depth on your own with the textbook, tests go along with textbook not powerpoints.

MacDonald is the best! He really knows his stuff so if you're interested in psychology than this is the class for you. His lectures are fun but still full of information, everything is easy to understand and he's super helpful. We had 4 tests throughout the semester which he gave us review packets for with all the answers. So easy!

By far the best professor !!!! He gives you a review packet about a 100 questions... it is right out of the textbook! The test is about 50 questions right out of the packet. You 100% need the textbook... lecture is right out of the textbook. Find a friend in the class to switch numbers with so you guys can help each other out on the review packet.

MacDonald is awesome, show up listen and your good. He gives out study test packets about a week before each test, follow the textbook and you find the answers. The test is then like 3/4 of the questions that were in the packet he handed out. Easy A- textbook is only used to find test packet answers, otherwise dont use.

Easiest A ever. If you like doing no work and still getting a good grade this is the class for you. He will make you laugh so hard and sets you up for success. He gives you a study guide with around 80 questions and 2 weeks to do it and study. Then he pulls half of the questions from the packet for the test. Hard to fail.

Professor MacDonald is one of the nicest human beings I have ever met. He truly understands whats going on with a student and he is able to relate to them. He is a solid professor and a solid human being. If you just do the study guides and read the textbook and listen to the lectures you'll do fine.

If you actually care about learning psychology, this is not the man for you. Very unorganized, very careless about his method. Practice test answers dont always match up with test answers make sure you check his grading he makes lots of mistakes. He assumes everyones there for a grade and has no problem skipping over material. Easy A.

4 tests, 4 review packets. Take the time and do them. Make friends and split up packets together. 1 presentation with paper, if you make a lot of effort you'll get an A.

Great professor with tons of experience. Very interactive with the class, answers all questions with detail. Takes time to make sure you understand everything that he's gone over. Works with all students to make sure they're prepared for the tests.
