Took her class year-n-half ago. She was hard but extremely helpful and approachable. I ended up loving Chem after taking her class. One of the best teachers I've taken so far!

Dr. Grimes is a great professor. I took her class several semesters ago, but still miss her. Come to her office hour, she will walk you through. Love her. Feel sad when knowing that she's going to be retired.

There was not enough time for everyone to wash their equipment and finish their lab. She makes rules about name tags and goggles to get your equip.Her rules are optional when you are not favored. Late equip=incomplete lab. Not fair!

Superwoman! She is a great inspiration if your goal is about schools. Very helpful, and extreme organized. This is a hard class. Weekly quizzes, long&hard exams. But you get the grade you are worth. So be prepared to work your butt of ppl if you are about to take her class. She's tough but you will feel good eventually bcuz you did learned a lot!

She is Fantastic. This is a tough class, but if you are willing to put in some effort she is available all the time for help. Answers emails quickly and is always updating grades and giving you feedback on how you are doing in the class. I would recommend her! (Although she does get a little irritated on test days if people keep talking.)

Mrs. Grimes is a great chem teacher, probably the best for 130. Her tests and quizzes are challenging, but she prepares you for Chem180. Mrs. Grimes is also very helpful and makes herself readily available for students. Take Grimes she is the best!

Well. The first half of Dr. Grimes class i didn't take any notes. I failed the first test, did not take the second test. I went to her for help three quarters of the way through and she was very helpful. I had a chance at passing but i failed the final. It was my own fault i didn't pass She is always available to help her students and is very nice.

Chemistry is a hard subject but Dr. Grimes is there to help if you need it.Definitely going to prepare you for Chem180.You really need to STUDY for this class.Don't really need the book because the notes are on PowerPoint and is available on BlackBoard.Going to class is mandatory if you want to pass.And points are deducted if you don't.

If you register late take another class. She has given a lot of withdrawls;they will keep you out of a better school(see a councilor). If you open the celophane on her chem. book you can't get a refund. I felt that she seemed to feed on being mean to students,yet she claimes to likes them. Five notebooks full for a C? Chem 130? Please!

I don't know what's wrong with these two people. Grimes is an amazing teacher. She really cares about her students & does anything she can to help when we need her help. She is so friendly and helps me so much in lab. I love going to class and learn from her. I wish more teachers could be like her. She is one of the best science teachers I've had!

All I have to said is..Run away from this lady! Her class is not hard but she likes to make things seem like its hard for some reason. One thing I hate about her class is that she tends to grade quizzes and tests really fast (not giving partial credit or miscount your end result). Scary lady always put on red lipstick

-After drop date; grades on quizzes went down on average. Partial credit went away. Did not disclose how many points each problem is worth before grading. Cut time off quizzes by 3-5 minutes! 1-2 grade loss on transcript. Do not take this teacher!

I think her class is pretty tough, always keeping you on your toes. Sometimes when you think you have it down.. you don't. Her lectures are extremely boring, she teaches from a powerpoint, the plus about that is all her powerpoints are online. she is very helpful, she always finds time and has open office hours to help students.

She is an amazing teacher. One of the best chemistry teachers I have ever had. She knows what she is talking about and is willing to help all of her students. I would reccomend her!! You dont have to go to class, but if you dont you will not do well on her quizes or tests. She curves the grades in the class 85=A

well, chemistry is a hard subject to deal with it already so you have to study hard in order to pass.. professor grimes is a great teacher.. she likes to help people if you do not understand chemistry and have trouble in it.. she even comes to school on fridays to help people with chemistry i would recommend her :D you could get at least a B :)

she is a mean devil lady that give no mercy on students that are slower then the rest. if you are not a fast learner reconsider about taking her class because she would make you feel dumb. her office hours were useless to me because she didnt help me at all. if she hate you then your doom. even tho she mention she "Love" to help student, its a lie
