She is HIGHLY educated. Her tests are HARD. You literally have to study every day from the start of the first lecture. 4 exams, 5 mc q's & 4 pages of essay q's & hard q's. the final exam q's are the exact same q's taken from the 4 exams though. There's hw 2x/wk to help your grade & super easy. Also a 3page essay & one presentation. prepare to work

Difficult class, thank goodness Dr. Johnston is teaching it, as her teaching style is terrific. There is a lot of material to remember and the course moves quickly. She is very organized and her BB is easy to navigate. She will go out of her way to help you if you ask and she gives a couple projects that will really boost your grade in the

Honestly probably the hardest class I have ever taken at ASU. Although the material is extremely difficult, you cant deny that Johnston is a great professor. So incredibly helpful during office hours. Warning you now, her exams are HARD, record her lectures.

Her lectures were interesting and I really feel like I learned a lot in this class. Her exams are free response and all the information intersects. I highly recommend having the entire class make a google doc of answers to the previous exams to study for the final since she pulls the EXACT same questions - I ended up getting 100% on the final

Dr. Johnston hands down was my favorite professor at ASU. I didn't do so well on the first exam. Once I figured out her testing method I received high A's on the remaining exams.. I stopped taking notes. My notes confused me. I recorded all of the lectures and memorized them verbatim. Easy A if you put in this effort. I'm in awe of her knowledge!

Test are the hardest thing I've ever done but I've learned so much from the course. Carol is an expert in the topic so you know the material is gonna be detailed. Exams are open essay and you will need to regurgitate information. Let me repeat. REGURGITATE! There is one group presentation and one paper which will help cushion your grade.

Learned a lot in her class. Attendance is mandatory because every class we have a worksheet checked off. We fill it out prior to the upcoming lecture to focus on vitamin basics. These worksheets help group aspects of vitamins for exam. There is one group project, pretty straightforward. Offers plenty of point opportunity. I enjoyed her attitude.

This class is by far the hardest i've taken. Her exams are filled with fill-in-the-blanks and plenty of paragraph Q's. BUT! She the class is not boring! Not much homework cuz you will have to study your butt off. Didn't use the book much. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO RECORD HER LECTURES! Too much information in one day. If you want a challenge, take her!

Professor Johnston is the best professor I've had at ASU so far. She knows her stuff and presents it in a very professional manner yet makes it so interesting and fun! I enjoyed going to class every day. You definitely have to work hard as there is a lot of information to know about the vitamins but I loved it. Take her class.

Awesome teacher. She takes an extremely difficult subject an makes it interesting, applicable and clear. The class is difficult. There is a lot of material to cover in a very short amount of time. The textbook is good for looking things up and to supplement class material, but almost all exam material (5 pages of essay questions) comes from lecture

I think that this class could be easy, but the when she writes on the board she writes everywhere. Which makes it so confusing. Her tests are really hard and do not reflect what was taught in class.

She is a great teacher, and knows her stuff, but she writes horrible tests! However, the final exam is EASY since it's questions from the previous 4 test--this was my saving grace. Also gives extra credit, and I highly recommend doing. I struggled with a B, ended up with an A.
