Kristin is an amazing professor! I highly recommend taking her class if you get the chance. This semester, you were able to take the class either synchronously or asynchronously. If attending a synchronous class, it would primarily consist of a group discussion with classmates. Grading consisted of a discussion post and quiz for each play.

In a semester of primarily online Zoom classes, the option to take this class asynchronously was extremely nice. There was a lot of reading (a full play and articles each week) but written assignments were very manageable. Discussion posts every week, one final paper, and one final assignment. Kristin was responsive and listened to students well.

Kristin is a lot of fun! She's very sweet, but you need to be prepared to put a lot of effort into this class. It isn't too hard, but homework is time consuming because if you don't do the readings you won't do well in class. It's also helpful to do further research into the plays you read along with just reading them.

Kristin is a very nice & caring professor who gets very into what she is teaching. Never gives out homework, you just have to read the plays. You have to do 2 tests, a presentation, a paper, & recorded monologue. Every single class is just a big discussion, no classwork is ever done. She's willing to help you & just wants you to do your best! :))))

Solid choice. I was not a fine arts major, so her class was kind of annoying sometimes because of how seriously she took it. She is a fair grader though and if you reach out to her she'll do the same for you.

KRISTEN IS THE BEST. She's genius, she's funny, she's righteous. Come to class and read the plays. It's not so much to ask. I didn't come to class a lot or read half the plays and I got an A, but I also studied really hard for the tests. You'll make it a lot easier on yourself if you attend class and read the plays and participate.

I love Kristen. She's so nice! This class is super easy for theater majors because all she really wants is for people to participate. Pay attention to speeches she talks a lot about, they show up on tests. Also READ ALL THE PLAYS! Some of the ones at the end are boring, but trust me just do it!

Very nice lady, and gives detailed, useful feedback on all papers turned in. However, she became painfully slow about returning papers at the end of the semester, and actually made our final paper optional for students with an A b/c she was behind on grading. Loves participation and wants to make class worth it for the students. I recommend her.

Very nice, brillant in her work, and a wonderful teacher. If you have a serious intereest in dramatic literature or dramaturgical studies, she is a winner! Like any other lit-ish class, expect some heavy reading and a large paper, but she is awesome and so smart! Worthwhile to take her!!

Great professor! She's very enthusiastic about exposing people to different theater styles. She is willing to help you and talk at any time and is available via email if not in her office. Her class is hard and you read a lot, but invaluable exposure!
