Awesome prof and very easy to talk to . She wants for you to do well so use her office hours. I will definitely be taking more of her classes in the future. There are no slides but her lectures are easy to follow.

Comment:

Fury is a great prof and an even better person. Make use of her office hours. Shes super approachable and wants you to succeed. To do well in her class you need to be able to take notes. There are no slides. Its straight lecture. But also straight forward and easy to follow.

Tough grader, shes hilarious but tries to hard to be funny and relatable. She doesnt post notes unless needed and expects you to write down everything shes talking about whether its Important or not.

Cheryl is honestly one of my favourite professors. My essay writing skills have improved so much over the years thanks to her help. She is very approachable and really funny in class. She does expect you to participate in class and there are readings every week, but its a lot of fun if you love history!

Cheryl is a great teacher and the two courses I took were the mandatory lower level history courses. She knows her stuff, you take tons of notes. Midterm is scary but her major paper and final exam are even scarier only because she has high expectations and there is a lot to remember. Study hard and you'll pass.

She is a fantastic professor. She is organized, clear on her expectations, fair, and easily approachable. It's best not to skip class as every lecture will be important for the midterm and final exam. Tutorials are a lot of work but easy marks if you do them. Use of text book is not mandatory. She has the ability to make any lecture interesting.

Notes are a MUST in this class, but they contain everything needed for exams. Attendance is needed to do well, show up every day. She is a HARD marker, but if you get help and feedback on your own time (during office hours) a +B shouldn't be a problem with some effort. Do not expect to get an A in her courses, ever. Although she's a difficult marker, Fury makes even boring time periods bearable. Her expectations of her students are high but she is available for help and will work with her students. Her lectures are interesting and her tests are fair (nothing on there that I didn't expect to see)

Comment:

Fury's approach and interest to the field of history brings her the accolade of being the most enjoyable history prof at UNBSJ. Essays, particularly grammar, are marked quite hard, but if attention is paid to her often light hearted and entertaining lectures, a high mark is not hard to accomplish. Fury is a highly recommended professor.

Great Prof! She gets everyone interested in the material and can make it a fun course. She has no pitty for slackers, or people who dont pay attention but it's hard to get distracted during her lactures. Homework actually helps you understand and remember material. Overall a great class.

Amazing prof. Do not take her if you're looking for an easy credit. She's a bit tougher in the marking department than other profs but she is by far the most interesting prof I've ever had. Funny, interesting and super helpful.

Awesome prof. Knows what she's talking about and always makes herself available to help students. Hilarious lectures yet, filled with tons of info. I wouldn't advise anyone to skip her classes. Tutorials are essential. I'd say she's one of the best profs UNBSJ has to offer. If they ever lose her, they lose a HUGE asset to their campus.
