Be ready to teach yourself. She is unreachable if you have issues, grades late, lectures do not match the chapter content and her tests are disorganized. She has outdated views on mental health and uses blanket statements to describe conditions inaccurately. DO NOT TAKE!!!!!!!!!!

Do NOT take her! worst prof i've ever had! NEVER responds to emails or messages. lectures are boring, irrelevant, she is super biased, and is always late on grading and giving exams. not organized at all! 9 questions were on the first exam and we were required to write 7-10+ pages. get ready to write and teach yourself if you take this class.

The tests were very hard and lengthy. The two projects she gives towards the end of the semester are very hard, especially the journal articles. I did every single homework assignment and still got a C in this class because of the projects and tests.

Lots of Lecturing. Lots of Homework question. Tests are lots of questions plus an essay. Grades hard. Expects you to know a lot and remember a lot, especially for an introductory class. Would not recommend unless the subject interests you and you can remember a lot of small details and names.

Love, love, love this class. Teacher was enthusiastic about her presentations and made the learning very easy to understand.

I like this class, but it's very disorganized. She is usually 5-10 mins late to class which makes you wonder if it's cancelled... never responds to emails. The class is an easy A if you just show up and do the work assigned. The textbook is required as is MyDevelopmentLab.

I love this teacher's teaching style. I learned a lot in this class and the teacher really had an impact in my life. There are so many things I took from the class that I notice on a daily basis and recognize from our talks in class. I would highly recommend this teacher and her class.

She is one of the worst teachers i've had. she is not enthusiastic while teaching and requires a lot of reading. If you like reading a lot and monotone lectures take her, otherwise I wouldn't take any of her classes again.

The professor is a very sweet woman, is willing to help. But, the class is a joke. We hardly had students show up for class and the classes were cancelled too much. I didn't understand the material well and felt as if I did not learn much.

She is very very sweet and genuinely cares about her students. She also cares that you learn. However, this is NOT a show up and get an A class. The work is easy but time consuming. I wouldn't recommend if you have other time consuming classes, but would recommend if you like to participate and don't mind putting in the time.

This is the best teacher. Come to all classes and keep up on your reading and you are good to go. She really care about her students, but you're not going to get a free ride. Extremely fair. Only negative is her timeliness on keeping the grades posted.

In this class you are required to work and to participate, but the instructor finds interesting ways to deliver information. The tests are tough but if you use the study guide, you should be fine. I thoroughly enjoyed this class and find if funny that some are disappointed. Maybe these people just don't want to have to work for what you get...

Was the worst class I've ever taken. She didn't lecture for the 1st test. When she finally started lecturing I'd lost interest in the class. Tests were hard but easily passable with some studying & the extra credit. She never gave out the student survey. She kept the class the full time. I would not recommend her class

It was all about playing games and getting into groups, there were no lectures. The tests were hard, it was like you had to teach yourself. Two very hard end of the sememster projects. I would not recommend her, and I would never take another class with her again.

Christy is nice and is willing to help. However, this is the worst class and I'd never take another taught by her again. We're in college, yet we do many group activities (in lieu of lecturing and note taking), games, etc. Tough tests, boring classes, inappropriate (age related) teaching methods. She should stick to counseling elementary.

This teacher gave me a great respect for psychology. I started out a student who did not want to learn to one that want to get a degree in psychology. She is very fair and willing to help any student that is having problems. All the student needs to do is ask. She goes above and beyond for her students.
