I took this class 100% online. He assigns one critical thinking question and one discussion board question each week, and those are your only assignments. You will need the book to help you answer these questions, but they're mostly opinion questions. No tests or quizzes other than midterm, final, and an extra credit quiz. Very easy and insightful.

Comment:

Mr. Kearney is a truly amazing teacher! He truly cares about his students, while taking his work seriously. His lectures were wonderful,and he gave clear and concise understanding of what was to be learned and expected. Attendance was required to get a good grade and pass, but who wouldn't want to attend a class with such a good teacher!?

Comment:

The best professor I've had at HFC. He really cares about his students and wants whats best for them. Attendance is necessary if you want to learn the material, however, his classes aren't boring. He dismisses you early most of the time. He tells stories from his own experience to spice things up. I did use a textbook, but it really isn't needed.

Comment:

One of my favorite classes ever. Very chill class, take guided notes while he lectures. His lectures aren't boring, but like an educational conversation, and he integrates interesting stories from his own experience into the class. He prepares you well for quizzes and tests. The textbook is recommended but if you pay attention you don't need it.
