Professor Hansen has since retired but I took him for his last semester for Biology. He was excellent. Studying was essential and his lecture exams were probably more difficult than his lab exams, IMO. If you truly apply yourself, you will receive an A. I didnt though, and received Bs. He will be missed!! A truly wonderful professor!

This is my second semester taking professor Hansen. He is AMAZING and funny. But you should know this is not an easy A, and he truly prepares you for nursing.

(cons)- heavy lectures, heavy tests. (pros)- always extra points for each tests (total 8 (4labs +4 lectures test in class)+1 final exam) + 5 extra credits + lecture notes is hard to follow. I have to make my own notes.

He made a meticulous class consistently interesting. He offers humor and great insight. He cares about your success and is available outside of class. Gives solid advice, is incredibly knowledgeable. One of the best professors I've ever had. Thank you Professor Hansen!

I took this professor because of the good ratings, but honestly he was the best of what was left, and at this point Im confident to say A&P is just a really hard course. In reality it doesnt matter the professor because the course is A LOT! Professor was funny and informative, it didnt help with test! Study groups helped. So partner up to pass.

Look no more. This is the best and easiest A&P teacher you will find anywhere. His exams are so easy and he gives perfect study guides that follow the exams exactly. When he throws test questions out (which he does every exam) everyone gets those points back as bonus. 3-6 pts every test. Got a 97 in this class. He is too easy. Retiring next year!!

He is a very nice professor, but his exams are difficult and about 80 questions long, he didn't use power point so you have to take your book to get a better visual of what he is explaining.

Look at the lecture and lab objectives ASAP! Do not waste time, he does require a ton of memorization and has no word bank on lab tests. You need to know what you're looking at to score well. Fill out all the lecture objectives and read it as much as possible. The class is not hard, just a lot of memorization.

He's a nice teacher but he's picky in grading even you write a word, he won't give points for that. I don't recommend anyone to take him even you don't know the material.. I regretted taking him when I told him to drop me but gave a failing grade..

Prof. Hansen is one of the most caring & down to earth professor I've met. If you want to ace this class you must MEMORIZE all his lecture notes (notecards) & answer all his objective questions. Find a study partner and quiz each other. His lab exams are a guaranteed 90 if you study. He makes the lecture fun but don't be fooled his test are hard.

This is one of the best professors at SAC for a&p. He's not an easy professor but do you want easy? You have to think critically in his class and not just spit back out what's in the book and that's a good thing because you are likely going into medicine and hopefully you want to know your stuff! Also, he's hilarious and kind and fair.

zero homework. no quizzes. only lecture tests and lab tests. his lectures are good and he does a great job explaining things. Sometimes its just a lot to take in because the subject is brand new to you. He goes off topic a lot but I don't mind at all cause he likes to input random facts which makes the class interesting.

How to make an A in Hansen's A&P 2 class: 1.) MEMORIZE THE NOTES (flashcards are key) 2.) Take advantage of the Lab exams they are less difficult than the lecture exams. Study Time per Lecture exam to make an A - 25 - 40 hours. He is a great professor! If you want to really succeed, start studying the lecture notes before the lecture. Will help!

Keys to passing Hansens Class. Make an "A" on all lab exams. I never read the book but print out all the notes he has for his class and read those suckers till you memorize it. His tests are really hard but he does give extra credit, yes do it. It's only 5 points but those 5 points can save your life. I got c in his class. if you slack, you fail.

Professor Hansen's A&P2 was a pretty enjoyable class. Even though the lectures were always long, he made sure to keep them interesting with jokes in an attempt to relate to us students. Most of the labs were pretty engaging, even the ones just using the microscope. Study for quizzes/tests and you should be ok. Would take him again if I could.

Good prof & very helpful. BUT his teaching style was NOT for me. Book not req, his lec & exams are straight off his notes. Mastering AP "study area" helpful for lab exams. A LOT of studying & Memorizing REQ for both lec & lab exams & wkly quizzes (no hmwrk). Drops 1 lowest grade & gvs 1 extra credit asgnmt He goes into depth on many concepts

He was a good teacher. Always willing to answer questions and keep me updated about my grades. The tests were really hard but at the end of the semester he gives you assignments to earn extra credit to go towards your lowest grades. He was a really funny teacher and knew how to keep class interesting. He made hard topics easier to understand.

I had him for A&P2 & he was one of the best teachers I've ever had.. By no means is it an easy A, but if you are going into the health field would you really want it to be? While maintaining a lot of humor in his lecture he provides a lot of hands on learning and analogies to help better describe difficult concepts. There to help at all times.
