He is wise teacher, his years of experience are on your benefit. I enjoyed his class. He has an old teaching style, but he knows his material and his explanation will be in your memory forever.

I thoroughly enjoyed being in Dr. Garcia's class. He's very smart and knows his stuff. Yes you must attend class and take notes like any decent student should. These courses are hard work and the red carpet is not laid out for you. If you want an A, WORK FOR IT. Don't be lazy kiddos and quit whining!

Comment:

Lectures w an overhead projector & slides from the 80s. No online resources. Youll fail without the book!! Not a lot to gain from the slides. Access to old tests and study guides are sort of helpful. Did learn a bit about the journey to becoming a nurse/the field in general that i appreciate. I respect Dr. Garcia but other profs offer ppt notes!!

Had to return to add, Dr. Garcia provides his students the syllabus and outline of the material you will be going over. He has test reviews for lab and lecture in the Bio spot accessible to everyone. Yes you need to study, yes you should PAY ATTENTION in class and TAKE NOTES. He literally gives you the map to succeed, just connect the dots!!!!

Dr. Garcia is a fair professor. He will give you reviews to do, DO THEM AND YOU WILL PASS. He cares about his students success and will also give educational advice. I recommend taking notes and following along in lecture. Labs are cake, he will answer any question you have. He is one of the best, most caring professors I have encountered.

Get ready to do everything on your own. His class is two hours long and everytime I walked in there I left more confused. He is super old school and DOES NOT communicate online. His lectures are indecisive and he jumps all over the place, he rarely follows the book. His exams make or break your grade and he includes questions not from your book.

This guy is super old school. Like overhead projector and transparency slides old school. He cares for his students though and he's very understanding and easy to talk to. His lectures are a little hard to follow but he makes all of his tests accessible in the bio spot and he does offer extra credit. Take notes and highlight in your textbook!

I was lost half the time being in his class. His lab tests are fairly easy, but his lecture tests were hard. I'd say save your time and money and don't take his class, unless you're down to teach yourself the whole material.

He gives 4 lab test, 4 lecture and 1 final. Write the easy paper for a free 100!!! He has his lecture practice test in the bio spot and for lab just do the review and you will be solid. Old fashion style of teaching but he will definitely pass everyone who attends class.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!im not some lazy student who doesn't study. I aced my anatomy 1 final & worked hard in that class (I had a different professor) but Dr. Garcia is terrible at teaching, all over the place, is not clear with instructions, and gives false info of what will be on the test. You basically teach yourself the entire semester. he sucks

You have to read a lot and devote a lot of time to study for this class. He gives practice tests so your prepared for the actual tests. He tells you exactly what will be on the test. He does talk a lot but his actually a very smart professor and wants you to succeed. He drops your lowest test grade and offers extra credit. I'm taking him for A&P 2

Dr. Garcia is all over the place during his lectures so you can't really keep up with notes. Uses old transparencies and old tests. DO NOT TAKE HIM but if you must, old tests in Bio Spot will help you! This class is a whole lot of learning on your own. I never got much from the lectures! He doesn't like to help you, tells you to figure it out!!

I took this professor for A&P 1, lets just say by the final drop date the class size went from about 30ish to 7. I dropped with a "W"! At that point, I had learned absolutely nothing from the professor. Be prepared to read and teach yourself!! He's a very sweet professor and means well, but he needs to upgrade his projector and teaching skills!

By far the worst professor i had ever taken. Lectures are a waist of time and he is not specific on what the test will be based on. I was about to graduate with a perfect gap until i took him. If you care about your understanding for anatomy and physiology and your grade DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER.

4 lab exams and 4 lecture exams. 1 final exam. Dr. Garcia is a very nice person, but he is every where during his lectures. During lab time we didn't do much just more lecture. All of his old tests are at the BioSpot. (THE OLD TESTS WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE). He lets you drop one exam. Lecture exams are weighed 80% and lab is weighed 20%.

No he is not the greatest instructor but a nice person. I was lost 99.9% of the time and everything I learned was self taught. I recommend a study group and lots of reading. Dont bother recording either, I tried that and it was pointless. Guys everywhere during lecture and it's frustrating...

Seriously, don't bother taking him. A total waste of my time. Unless you are willing to work extremely hard and learn absolutely NOTHING, go for it. I made a B in AP2 from him but I had to work extremely hard for it. Plus I had to teach myself. I just read the entire book and made sure I understood it.

He was a nice guy, very personable, but when it came to his lectures they were really hard to follow. Had no power points, his reviews weren't that good and doesn't like to be told he is wrong. His test questions a lot of the time didn't make sense either.
