Comment:

These classes felt extremely long even though they were just an hour and fifteen minutes twice a week. He talks very monotoned and gets lost in his thoughts often. The beginning of the semester was fine and I was able to stick through it. The only thing I liked was his grading scale! 100-80 A, 80-70 B, 70-60 C etc...

He is a terrible teacher. He stands at the front of the class and just lectures. He will every once in a while write something on the board but he doesn't keep things organized and I could barely read it. He told us that 3/4s of us were all going to fail.He told us what was suppose to be on the final and it wasn't anywhere near what he said.

He does not use a powerpoint, he talks a lot, he does not take attendance on a daily basis. i suggest you don't take this class with him! The one thing i did like about this class was that he only gave us three exams and that was it, but other wise i did not enjoy this class!

He doesn't have a powerpoint for his lectures he just talks which can be difficult but he says important things and its important to take notes on what he is saying. As long as you read your notes, the book and make flashcards and do the online quizzes connect with the book you should do fine.

Took this class a few years ago, but when I took it the grade was entirely based on 4 tests. plus the class was curved a full 10%. pretty basic political science, people. I got an A (curved up from a B) pretty easily, went to class about 30% of the time. If you're counting on homework to help you, take a different class. Ziblatt is a hella cool OG.

I learned a lot in this class! But- he no longer only tests from the text book, it is about half or more on lecture, and half on the text. Did Horribly on the midterm because he only told us to study with online materials- don't believe him. Take down and study your notes! Went to talk to him for help and he didn't give ANY. WAS a 4.0 student.

ATROCIOUS. HORRIBLE. PAINFUL. Seriously, do NOT take this class. i am a poli sci major, and even though i read and studied the text practically cover to cover, i still got a D. His grading and tests are impossible. Please don't take this class. PLEASE.

Let's see. My first failing grade in my life was this class. His class is based off of two midterms only and he lectures, ONLY talks. No visuals or anything. Very hard to pay attention to and doesn't take attendance. Yes, I could have tried a bit harder, but, he could have made SOMETHING a little easier. Avoid him, please.

Another teacher I'm surprised doesn't have better ratings. Apparently no one likes the toughies =P If you read the book and listened in class it's an easy A. He also let me explain my third party position to give the class perspective. Lots of discussing which is fun! Is friendly and talks after class. Gives interesting tidbits! I liked the guy.

One of the most horrible classes I have ever taken. Ziblatt is monotone and rarely stays on subject. Classtime consists of pure lecture - no discussion! Students are graded on two tests alone, a midterm and a final, both multiple choice. I appreciate having no homework or essays to do, but those things help me LEARN which is what I'm paying to do!

He is very interested in the subject of Political Science but he is unable to spark any interest in his students as well as address any necessary material for any exams. It is important to read the chapters and take the online quizes, it is the ONLY way you will pass the class. This makes attendance almost unnecessary.

The most BORING class I have EVER taken. He spent entire classes talking about boring things that had nothing to do with what he put on the tests. I would not recommend this class at all unless you are having trouble sleeping, he is excellent at lulling people into a nice nap.

a ridiculous teacher. but i had some of my best naps while in his class, great monotone in his voice. someone's got to give him a break though. he really is very intelligent in matters of political science. just unable to capture mine or any of my classmates interest. as far as ge's go its easy. just do the online tests that go along with the book
