I did not want to take this class, but it was required. However, Dr. Smith managed to make this class worthwhile. Her lectures often brought up good points to incorporate into papers. Overall, Dr. Smith is an intelligent and helpful professor. She provides students with a straightforward class and fair grades. I would recommend her as a professor.

You can get away with not reading the books. She is understanding. She says "um" a lot and she's scatter-brained BUT she's also VERY kind. Her class isn't an "easy A" but as long as you are putting an effort, you'll get a pretty high grade!

Great professor, had her my first semester and hate writing. However, she was very helpful and made me feel like I knew what I was doing and made me write better. Nice and caring person.

Terribly unclear. Extremely scatterbrained. Nice enough lady but so incredibly difficult to follow. And she forces you into group work which is awkward and embarrassing for those of us who are on the shy side.

Depending on how much participation you put into the class, is how much you'll enjoy it. Most of her classes are group discussions so of course it will be boring if you don't say anything or bother to listen. She's one of the most intelligent professors I've had and it's a shame some people don't realize that.

IMAGES WOMEN LIT class was easy if you do the reading. The main book was an easy read & she really likes the class to participate in the discussions. Dr. Smith is very easy going, I really liked her attitude.

I'm an English major, and I hated this class. It was boring. 5 papers on the same topic. The class was pretty easy. You can redo one paper if you get a bad grade. The online exercises sucked. I do like her as a professor, though. I'm taking her again this semester for Intro to English Studies. Hopefully the class will be more interesting.

I've had many classes with her, and she mainly discusses the texts we read,some historic background. The discussion isn't very lively, Essay questions, write all you know. You have to read everything! You can revise papers. I didn't think she was tough if you are relitively intelligent and can write fairly well you'll do fine.
