Comment:
Homework load for Advanced Strengths was CRAZY. Get ready for 8-10 hours of swearing or find a solutions manual so you don't go nuts. Lectures were difficult to follow. The textbook was awful and so hard to read you just are better off going to another source. I took to watching lectures by other instructors online & managed a hard earned B.

Comment:
The amount of homework is insane, and it only weighs out to be worth 5 percent of the class. So while you are slagging away hoping to learn a few things, you will be too busy failing the rest of the class. Holds study sessions on different days but expect it to be the same as a lecture, reading from a slideshow and talking to a board.

Comment:
Nims is a professor who is dedicated to helping his students out however he can. Unfortunately, his teaching method is extremely boring and unclear. He skims through slideshows and doesn't explain them at all, and then does example problems and stops when he assumes you know how to finish them. It was very confusing.

He can be challenging at times with the homework, but he is literally the smartest person I have ever met. He knows what he is talking about and is always available when you need help. One of the best professors I have had.

Comment:
Terribly disorganized. Loves to pass out tons of handouts and fly through them in class. The syllabus changed about 6 times during the semester. Gives LOTS of homework. He dosen't really change up his exams, so if you can do the practice exams, you will be fine for the real thing. He will work with you, and really does care. Try, and you'll pass

He is not organized but he knows his stuff. He needs you to ask question in the lower levels because he is better at higher level teaching. All you have to do to get him to be more clear is ask questions and tell him to slow down. He curves alot and trys to help if you go to him. He give a better explaination when he is not in front of a class.

Very nice man! That said, he isn't very clear. He isn't really organized when it comes to class. He kinda expects you to know P.E. stuff even though we're all first semester freshman. Just do the stuff he asks and turn in assignments, show a little effort, and it's an EASY A! Again, super nice!
