Comment:
Felino's lectures were basically him just stating 'facts' and going through examples without explaining in understandable terms. He assumes everyone took calculus in high school and for some reason just failed the AP test. Khan Academy Calculus carried me through this class, I debated skipping his lectures and just following along on Khan.

Dr. Pascual gives decent lectures, but is VERY rude and unapproachable when you try to ask him questions. Recommend taking with another professor if you like to use office hours and ask questions.

Professor Pascual is a gem. He says the funniest stuff during class and really recognizes the people who try. I took him during rona time and it was optional to show up in person but he really noticed the people who did. He gives out plenty of bonus point and explains the topics very well. Great teacher would 10 out of 10 recommend

Dr. Pascual is easily one of the worst professors I have had here at Winona. All he did in class was give examples with little explanation as to the reasoning behind it. I got an A with hard work, but I can honestly not tell you anything I learned. He is not approachable. He makes you sound dumb for asking a question. This class wasn't easy.

Felino is a great guy and teacher. He will answer all of your questions in a way that is understandable, and he also gives plenty of extra credit opportunities. His homework is always thoroughly covered in class and his tests are straightforward. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Worst class I've ever taken. I learned NOTHING from Dr. Pascual and taught myself everything from online videos. He is terrible at explaining things and very rude if you try to ask him a question. Not approachable at all. Only take him if you have a solid background in calc, then it'll be a breeze as there's minimal homework and easy tests.

Despite what every one else says, this professor is terrible. But, let me explain. If you are a person that just wants examples then he will be great for you. But, if you are someone who wants a definition/explanation for things, he is TERRIBLE! I got an A in precalc, and he said it's precalc based but it is not. He is horrible at explaining things

Dr. Pascual made this class super easy. He basically handed you the formulas and the code for the weekly homework, and if asked would also help you program your calculator with the formulas for the exams. The exams, while long, were not hard if you understood the content, even at an elementary level. He asks trick questions, so watch your notation.

He is a good professor and his teaching still is teaching you how to do the problems and not why you need to know it. Basically he is a great professor for students who only need to know how to do it. Also he does not require a book

Dr. Pascual is an amazing professor! He is very clear in the way he teaches Calculus, and has a good mix of going over examples and the more proof-y side of the math during lecture. Tests aren't difficult if you actually do the homework and most of the practice problems he creates. 11/10 would take again.

I had the worst experience taking him. Simply put; rude and un-approchable. For the times I went to him with a problem, he made me feel like I was 'wasting' his time. I love maths and I did great in all of the homework and tests but I missed an A by a few points on the final and he gave me a B ( was not kind enough to round the grade). Avoid him.

Felino is an amazing teacher I highly recommend him. He offers partial credit on all problems, as long as you attempt a problem you will get points. The textbook is optional but i wouldn't recommend buying it. Show up to class and ask questions when you are lost and you should do fine in his class

Math classes have never challenged me but this one did and I got a 32100 on my first exam. What do you think I finished with? An A. It's the last day of school, I've been drinking, and I just saw my grade. What a great prof. Notes are put online and offers 3 bonus points whenever you find a mistake in his work. I was able to rack up 67 EC points

I really like Dr. Pascual! He assigns a homework assignment about every week which you can turn in any time before he leaves (opposed to at the beginning of class). He puts all of his lecture notes online as well as offers other resources such as instructional videos in case you need more help. He is a open to questions and he makes class fun!

If you show up to this class and pay attention you will fly by with an easy A. Although if you are a student who signs up for a class expecting to do nothing for an A then this isn't your class. If you follow the examples and do the homework it is an easy class. The homework assignments and practice problems are harder than the exams, easy A.

He is actually very nice. He let you turn in the homework before his office is close which is around 4 pm instead of at the beginning of the class. Some parts of the homework are very very hard but the tests were a lot like the examples he gave in class. He could be a lil hard on you when you ask questions cause he wants you to know the material.

It took me time to get used to Pascual's teaching style. Some people think hes rude, but hes actually pretty nice, and often scaled our exam scores out of 90. I had trouble knowing what was expected out of us in terms of proof ability, so his clarity wasn't superb. but overall, Im glad I took him. You wont be overworked, but you gotta practice.
