He's the best. He encourages learning instead of testing you on trivial things, he makes sure you're using the course practically. He doesn't require much work, basically, just wants you to be interested in learning

Dr. Bernieri is a wonderful lecturer but it is fairly advanced lecture material. I found it difficult because there are only a few assignments that you get graded on and if you miss out on just one point your graded drops. I would only recommend to students that are highly motivated and are already well versed in psychology.

He's a really great professor that makes you think and actively engage. Additionally he's funny and shares interesting stories and facts too. The class was most discussion base with him facilitating the direction of the topic. Learned a lot from the psychology articles and actually learned to understand them through the discussion.

Really interesting class. Professor is very blunt but in a good way. You can skip all the class you want and still get an A; tests are entirely based on the textbook readings. He gave us a lot of opportunities for extra credit (but many of them were during lectures) and there were no homework assignments. Great class overall.

If there's one thing you do in this class, make sure you read the textbook. Lectures and notes don't matter. Read the textbook, thats what 99% of test material is on. He makes it clear that he wants students to read the textbook.

Entire grade was determined by three exams and a paper. Lecture is pointless as he intentionally never covers all if the material in class. First day of class, told us "I would rather you stay home and read the textbook than show up to class and solely attend lecture". If you want an A, don't waste your time going class.

He have a quiz every Friday for each chapter. Also, his lectures are usually behind so you have to study and read the chapter on your own before taking the quiz. There is also no point in going to lecture when you already know the material from the book. The class depends on your quizzes, 2 midterms, and a final.

Dr. B's a hard professor. Don't go in expecting an A. Makes you read the textbook. Assigns hours of homework weekly. Grades extremely harshly but curves generously; his tests are soul crushing. Moderately funny, always willing to help if you ask. Very intelligent. You will learn more in his class than with any other professor. Guaranteed.

His lectures are not mandatory , however, every Friday for the first ten minutes of class he gives a quiz on that weeks chapter. Sometimes the quizzes are easy and other times they super detail oriented. Which is why reading the text book and reviewing it will really boost your grades on the quizzes. Be prepared to study alot for the mid term

Learning for this class is entirely out of the textbook, Bernier doesn't lecture on exam material. There are weekly reading quizzes every Friday. Very vague and unclear about what he expects you to know out of the readings, no study guide or practice tests. Exams are doable but very difficult. Take advantage of extra credit, you'll need it.

This class was a bit challenging for me. I'm naturally not very great at memorization, so I knew hands down this was going to be a bit tricky. That being said, Berneiri is an okay teacher. He didn't attend a couple of classes, and the class was instead taught by a TA. He has chapter quiz's every Friday which were challenging.

Comment:
Personally, I think Berneiri is misunderstood. He told us first class that he isn't here to preach the textbook, and that if you want that he isn't the teacher for you. He makes things certain topics interesting and does his best to make you think deeper. He takes some getting used to, but you'll love him.

I loved Psychology in high school but once I took 202 with him it made me hate it. If you are a super great reader it might come easy to you because everything comes out of the textbook. Take psychology with any other teacher or at LBCC, way better and way easier!

Lectures were fine, but he can be very rude and arrogant if you try to talk to him one on one. He was easily my least favorite professor in the psychology department.

Looking for an easy class? Move on. Looking to be inspired? Take PSY 360 with Dr. Bernieri. Dr. Bernieri is very clear: if you do not read the textbook CAREFULLY you will not pass. Approach him with an open mind: he might seem arrogant, but there is a method to his madness and everything he does in this class has a reason. Oh and he's funny.

I took this professor for Psy 202 and I absolutely loved this class!!! He is hysterical and makes the lectures interesting. People say the class is hard, but all you have to do is read the book and you'll get an A in this class. This was the one class I actually enjoyed going to

My favorite Psychology professor! The course wasn't easy, but it wasn't unnecessarily difficult. He really cares about his students and is great at explaining concepts in creative ways. If you want to learn a lot and be entertained at the same time, and are willing to put in a little work, this is the course for you.

He was one of my favorite psychology professors I have ever had. He's passionate about social psychology and it really interesting to listen to. He's hilarious too! I was never bored in his class. He has quizzes every class, but as long as you read the book, you'll do fine. Buying the book is necessary if you want a good grade in this class.

He was one of the most interesting professors i have had. He taught stuff outside of the book and when questions came up on the test his examples came to mind. His way of explaining psychology was brilliant, if you can get this teacher you should try!

Quiz everyDAY. It's like he's experimenting on his students. Boring classes. You only gotta MAKE yourself learn entirely from the book. Do not ever take him. He's a nice guy but you'll regret it. 2 weeks past the class and half of us were already failing.
