She does not give out extra credit, and doesnt let you redo assignments to boost your grade. Which makes it impossible to boost your grade if you wanted too. She Is very strict with late work she will give you a 0% if you hand it in a day late even though if you have done all the work.

Tests were the hardest part. You had to answer 50 multiple choice questions within 60 minutes. I usually had one or two minutes to spare, but I did it (and I'm not good with tests generally!) Overall, if you read the book and actually put some effort into the assignments, you should be fine. She's a quick grader and well-organized.

Unclear assignment expectations, I never knew what she expected and the grading was strict. Exams were 3 chapters bunched together with only one chance to take them. Professor barely signed in to comment on forums and had limited involvement in the class. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Comment:

Se has to be one of the worse professors at HCC. She treats students so unfairly that it's amazing she still has a job. She is NOT motivational, a perfect example of the kind of teacher you never want to be, and is completely unethical in her methods. AVOID AT ANY COST!

This "teacher" is rude, degrading, and not motivational at all. She basically makes you hate school. If you want an A in this class, make sure you stroke her ego; she likes it to be known that she's the teacher and your just a student.

She is a great teacher who really knows her stuff, and is clearly enthusiastic about her job. She really cares about her students success and is accommodating to individual needs. She keeps the classes fun, but there is a lot of work involved. Shouldn't be a problem if you really want to learn.

I took intro to psych with her! Shes awful! shes way to tough and the tests are insane she throws way to much work for you to comprehend at a short time and is very rude and snotty. Never will i take a course from her again. I withdrawled from her class and took it again with another professor which was a lot better at teaching.

I really like this teacher a lot. This is the earliest class that I have and as it is my major I have a tape recorder in there. We have already constructed our own versions of Erickson's Bioecological theory of Development models. It is very interesting and I give the Prof two thumbs up, lol.

she gives individual choices of what type of test you want... tests are pretty hard though (multiple choice is harder than essay!)one of the harder teachers i've had at hcc, but she was also teaching at umass and wsc. Very enthusiastic andinvolved in the field. I learned a ton from her!
