Everything in the syllabus? Totally irrelevant to what actually happens in class. We never touched the assigned book, half the class was able to pass (was credit/non) with 1 poem instead of the 9 he says are required. You will get more out of it if you do the work, but if you want to skip all but 2 classes and get credit anyway, you can.

He is very insightful and a great professor, and a genius poet! I love everything about him except that he does not have firstclass email. But, you can always schedule an appointment with him, but he is usually pretty booked (he always makes time for all his students though, don't worry!)

Best professor I have ever had. He was very helpful and supportive and has inspired me more than any other professor I have had. I would recommend him to anyone with a love of poetry.
