Professor Baker was AMAZING!!!! I had him for elementary art and had so much fun and it was so easy! I am a single mother and couldn’t make it to every class and he was very helpful with letting me make up my work without penalty. It was a hands on class and he made it so much fun! I would recommend him to anyone. Great, great man.

Basketry: He is a good instructor of technique and he grades fairly. First complaint is that he tried to influence my artistic expressions. Second is that he made it mandatory that each student enter the Student Art Show (which is not part of the curriculum).

Ceramics was my favorite class even though it was very hard. It was fun and Mr. Baker is great even though he grades too harshly. Also the 8 projects is a little too much.

Ceramics was very fun & interesting. Baker was not bad. He's a bit harsh on grading the final exam. The review was nothing like the final. I got an A on ALL of the assignments, but when I took the final i got a B, made my overall grade a 89.5 He ended up not rounding it. made me so mad. Baker is Extremly Sarcastic & you cant tell if hes serious

I had Mr. Baker for Ceramics I & II. He is very funny, in a sarcastic way. Don't expect him to just "give" you an A, but he will definitely make sure to help you in any way he possibly can. If you're having a problem with his class don't withdraw without talking to him first. He'll do whatever he can, legally of course, to get you through it.

Professor Baker is an awesomeeeeee teacher. I loveeeeeeee they way he is willing to work with his students no matter what. I look at ceramics in a different light now. Dont expect an easy A in this class. It is definitely earned there are 8 projects to do. If you dont have extra time to complete the projects then this class isnt for you.

took ceramics1, good teacher,expects a lot, class very time consuming, you must have good time management and be able to multi task or you will not do well. I loved this course. Baker has dry humor but is good to work with when he knows that you are trying and following procedures.

Took ceramics 1. he was very helpful and knew what he was talking about. But he required so many projects that i had to come in and extra day (when we didnt have class) to complete them all. if you don't have extra time, don't take him. he is extremly laid back and fun though

He is a great professor. He puts the myths right into text and real life. If you can't handle people that say all religions are 'myths' then this class isn't for you. It is VERY easy to pass, just do the work, be in class, and speak up. He is extremely helpful, just ask if you need help.

teacher is very clear from day 1 of what you need to get an a in class. must show up to every class or you will lose a letter grade. can do projects and research paper on ANYTHING which is very cool. project is super easy.no tests. final exam is in the same order as the study guide and you can use notebooks on final exam

He is very charming. But expects you to put a lot of time consuming work into the projects! As all art is, it is graded on a subjective scale. Warning, don't think you are guaranteed an A just because you completed all of the assignments.

i like him, he is really smart and is a good teacher. although i wish he would concentrate on the myths more, he tends to digress a lot.Good teacher, but if you just want to learn abou the myths,this is not a good class for you, get a different teacher.
