Comment:

Isolde made everyone feel comfortable and cared for in her class. If you were struggling then she was willing to go the extra mile and help you out. She's also interested in the lives of her students and willing to accommodate them. There was a day where I wouldn't have made our regular class and she allowed me to join an earlier session.

I'm really not that good at German but Isolde is great and if you at least put in work and do the assignments you'll get an a/b. Just make sure to meet every class and turn in the homework on time and that's all that matters. Assignments can take some time but it's only really graded on if you tried. Take Isolde's class!

Isolde really wants to help you learn the German language. She is kind and helpful. Learning a new language is difficult but she is so patient and never gives up on her students. 10 outta 10 would recommend.

Comment:

Isolde is fun and helpful in the Skype sessions. This class is a lot of work but as long as you turn in the assignments on time you should be fine. Don't skip the Skype sessions unless you really have too. You don't need the textbook. I'm not very good at German and this class was a little challenging but definitely reasonable. A good mix.

Comment:

Mueller is probably my favorite teacher! She's very caring and understanding. There's online homework due before class each day, but (like the rest of the class) it's mostly graded on if you tried or not. Most of the class is doing practice sheets with your table. Very relaxed, but I feel I learned a lot!

Isolde goes above and beyond so that her students can learn. You never feel judged for making mistakes and she rewards hard work. There is a lot of homework/reading involved, and although challenging, uses real-world examples and is ultimately helpful. Fast grader, gives lots of feedback, doesn't require a textbook.

Isolde is far and wide the greatest teacher/professor I have ever had in my entire life. She cares deeply about her students and wants nothing more than for each one of them to learn and become proficient in her class. She will meet with you outside of class and help with any homework you need. Overall fantastic professor.

Professor Mueller's online German was great. I didn't know German before, and I'm getting an A in the class right now. The textbook isn't mandatory, but it is helpful. You definitely don't need it, but I think I rented it for like $8 and it was nice to have. She gives homework for each week, and it can be a lot sometimes.

Another tag that I would add would be "caring." She is a native speaker. Lectures are great. Most of this stuff, at least in the GER 101 Class, could easily be understood by someone in middle school, because the class name was "Elementary German I." Overall a great teacher. If she has an empty seat in her class, TAKE IT!

Very helpful and makes class fun and interesting. Really stresses that you speak in German the whole class period. She's a great person and really easy to talk and relate to. Average amount of homework but she's flexible if you hand it in late. All around awesome quality!

She is an absolutely wonderful professor. Very considerate and will do her best to make you learn. She's understanding and willing to work around schedules. You do service learning projects that I found very fun and interesting! Isolde is the best professor I've had yet!

I took 220 with her too..Both very easy classes!She doesnt seem to really care if you hand in your hw or not, she usually forgets anyway. Tests are on exactly what she talks about. i did barely any hw and i still got an A.

I just started this class, and I know it's going to be one of my favorites this semester! She makes things clear, and makes sure the concept is understood. 4 credit class, 3 in class, 1 in "learning community" with other classmates at the same level as you. Very sweet professor.

Isolde is a wonderful professor and does a great job of using different approaches to learning within the classroom. The biggest part of getting a good grade is going to class and speaking (in German). She understands the struggles of learning a language and will help you. Take a class with Isolde! Deutsch ist wunderbar!

Isolde is very sweet and considerate. She has mixed expectations of students. She expects students to volunteer one hour a week (off-campus) and attend an on-campus lab (both of these factor into grades). For homework and papers, she seems to appreciate effort rather than quality. She is the best German teacher I have had. Average difficulty.

I love Isolde! She is the most personable professor I have ever met. I highly recommend her- she is unlike most professors in the sense that she actually cares about her students success.
