Didn't need the textbook-- quizzes were super easy without it. Class long group project on one industry was fun and relatively easy. He was a great professor to have for my first graduate level class. The syllabus looks a lot more daunting than it/he actually is

Took this class in winter its an easy class. All the work is on BSG. Prof Monacelli eliminated one group project out of 3 because we didnt have much time. We even recorded the presentations we didnt present live he is very caring take him

I dont understand how he has a good rating. He is constantly giving us new group presentations every week. The final is a 60-100 slide, one hour group presentation. The amount of work you put into these presentations aren't even represented in your final grade. He's a nice guy but doesn't care if you have other classes, he just dumps work on you.

Comment:

I am in the online MBA program, and loved his class. He's very knowledgeable and is helpful. The weekly quizzes are based on the text, so definitely read the chapters before taking them. There is a term-long group project with weekly ppt submissions. The grading is fair, and you'll recieve an A if you do what you're supposed to.

Comment:

Took this professor for a Winter course and I would say it was a lot more fast pace and had a lot of stuff to complete because it was a Winter course. If your taking him for Winter I would be prepared for a heavy coursework. Professor was great, very understanding, supportive, gives great feedback and wants all of his students to succeed.

He lectured the full 2.5 hours. We worked on bsg every week and had presentations every single week on bsg and another group assignment. Be prepared to present every week after the first couple of weeks. The material wasnt that hard but you definitely had to put a lot of time into it. He is a really nice guy and gives good feedback and cares.

One of the best Professors I truly love his class and his just super nice. If you need help his there for you to help you. Highly recommend his class and I would love to take him again. His absolutely amazing.

Apparently he is really great for BUGN295 but terrible for MGMT439. Starting in October, you present every. single. week. until the end of the semester. This class is ALOT of work and caused tons of stress for me. I would recommend a different professor. He also keeps you for the entire 2.5 hour class. Not worth it in my opinion.

Professor Monacelli is a great professor! Took him for a 7am class and it was so worth it. He focuses a lot on our career, gives quizes every week (some are in class), one group presentation, and he also takes into account your Glo-bus grade. If you put your effort in the class you will definitely get an A!

This class is GLOBUS 2.0. First half of the class was simulation heavy. We played the game every week and also had to do a report every week: CMO, CFO, COO, and CEO. Then we switched to the industry analysis. We had to do a weekly presentation again. Presentation heavy and those damn BSG tests suck. And they're worth a huge portion of your grade

He is a very good guy with a desire to help student and feed them with wisdom to do good work and be passionate about life. He is very smart about the strategy and business process. He has turned small / failed business into established and successful one that is sustainable and profitable. He is wise enough to assist you at any given time. Humble.

The professor was very knowledgeable and smart. He has real world experience to help you understand the concepts. Winter class was overwhelming, however he was very knowledgeable and explain a great detail with accuracy every chapter. He is a profesor to take if you want to learn about the art of entrepreneurship and strategy.

Prof Monacelli is very enthusiastic and he has some valuable knowledge to offer. He wants everyone to succeed. Easy online weekly quizzes straight from the book chapters. There are 2 group presentations about online game simulation. The game is group work and you have to work on it weekly. Just 1 hard quiz, but overall not a hard class. Take him!

You can't get a low grade in this class as long as you attend every class, follow his schedule from day one, and do the work on time. There could be a lot of assignments but they're short and fun to do, 2 short group presentations, easy weekly online quizzes, and only one tough online quiz. He gets you ready to know more about tue business world.

Extremely knowledgable in his field. 5 test online and the text isn't helpful but you need to read it and highlight in order to pass. Group project which is a significant part of your grade. He takes attendance and doesn't like tardiness. He is a true example of entrepeneur and should use him as a reference in the near future. Need to attend class.

Easy class, interesting lectures. Weekly quizzes are weird. He does not prepare the quizzes (textbook author provides quizzes) and sometimes they don't coincide with what is taught. Read the textbook for the weekly quizzes. Attendance not mandatory, but if you skip a class you will lack information.

I love the fact that he was able to teach the course in a clear and concise manner, he had tons of personal examples, and inspired us to also be entrepreneurs but we needed to understand the ins and outs of management. You have one big project, 5 exams online that is pretty difficult (text isn't the best), and weekly presentation that is useful.

Comment:

My favorite professor. This class is not easy, but he prepares you greatly for a career in business. The workload consists of two presentations, actual game stimulation and online exams. It's a lot of work and you must stay on top of it all. But he helps simplify it and make it easy for you. Amazing professor would definitely recommend.
