Comment:
Burger is a memorize and repeat kind of professor. He is close-minded so if you have any ideas different from his he will try to make you believe you don't belong in his classroom or in college. If you ask questions you will have to answer them for yourself before getting any explanation from him (good sometimes but frustrating all the time)

He really does still use a slide projector, and it really is very boring! The tests are kind of short for the amount of material covered on them. Sometimes it was hard to determine what would be emphasised on the tests. He talks very slow. He had reveiw sessions. Again, very boring...

Imagine listening to your crazy grandfather explain evolution using a slide projector that breaks every class for an hour and a half two times a week... Exams consist of 25 questions and too many people cheat for there to be a scale. If he says you don't have to study something, study it(yellowstone)

Literally the oldest man in existence. I mean he uses a slideshow projector for all his lectures, which are boring af. but I will say he's probably the best out of all the 412 profs. also if you get a hand of his past exams, like 80% of the questions are EXACTLY the same, so find a friend who took the class before.

Even though the lectures can be long, boring, and a bit old fashioned, he isn't the worst biology 412 professor you can get. In fact, he's one of the best. Tests are easy as pie if you read his handouts and do the practice tests. Speaking of handouts, he's a tree killer and does everything by paper. So, bring a folder! Attendance is key to passing!

Old fashioned, used a rotating slide projector. Very slow and monotonous and hard to stay focused but if you can manage to you'd probably be okay. He repeats himself quite often and you have to listen carefully to get the important stuff. He assigned textbook readings but they're not mandatory. It might help you better understand though

If you're into monotone professors with a flip projector, this is the class for you! He repeats unimportant things, and doesn't teach some of the material on the exams. He doesn't follow the book very much.

Super boring, only 3 grades for the class so if you mess up on one it drops your grade significantly. His test are too specific and it's difficult to know what to study.

First off - don't buy the book. Dr. Burger is very straight-forward and does not try to trip you up with trick questions. Everything covered in lecture and on his handouts is all you need to do well on the exams. He has old exams and quizzes to practice from. Very reasonable professor and the material very is manageable.

John is very old school. His lectures are on an old slide projector, gives MANY paper handouts, nothing posted on blackboard. He is a very nice guy when you ask for help. Always be respectful, he has ZERO tolerence for smart-alecs. Tests are hard. Take good notes in lecture. Go to the review sessions if you are having difficulties.

Professor Burger is a nice guy but his lectures are very dry. The only break you will get is when you watch a boring movie so enjoy it! ATTEND CLASS IF YOU WANT TO PASS. He DOES NOT use blackboard for anything! No powerpoints just an old projector showing pictures. 3 exams total 1 being the final. 25 questions each and you should study for these.

Burger was genuinely a really nice guy. He's old school - no technology and if you don't show up for class you won't have a chance of passing. His lectures can get pretty boring but if you take notes you won't have a problem passing.

He was honestly just the most boring human being I've ever encountered, his slides were super outdated, and he was rude in any encounters. Honestly, if you study and come to lecture, you'll do fine but he's just boring.

Great guy, but I fell asleep in almost every class. He has more of a storytelling approach to biology. I never opened the textbook, but would recommend going to the review sessions.

He was really nice but he didn't really use blackboard. He has review sessions before the exams which are great if you're ever unsure about anything but you definitely need to know a lot of terms for his exams.
