Comment:

This is easily the best Psych class I've taken. Prof. Dueppen is very generous with extra credit, and is also a fantastic teacher. To this day I still use the notes I took in his class, which I highly suggest everyone to retain. He's also very understanding, and all of this makes it easy to perform well while also learning new material. A+

Comment:

Genuinely a great professor. He is punctual, replies to emails and grades quickly. Assignments are all quick, easy and relevant. Lots of extra credit, so bad quiz won't affect your whole grade. 2 lectures a week, about 1hr30mins each, you can watch when it suits you. He is very clear and you know what is expected of you. Great class!

Comment:

Listen to the lectures. Take good notes. And reviewwwww. A ton of extra credit. Do all of it. The littlest details during the lecture could be on the exam. Make sure to have him review your journals. You will get 100% if you do. He is very straightforward and clear, but not harsh.

Comment:

Reliable!!! He didn't cancel a single class or show up late all semester. Responds to emails quickly. You can get by without using the textbook, we only needed it for definitions. Good attendance is awarded with random extra credit in class. Lecture is concise and informative so the info is easy to retain. He let us drop our2 lowest quiz scores :)

Comment:

John's class was easy. You can't expect a teacher to give you an A if you don't do anything. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. If you pay attention and write down what he says you'll pass no problem. Study the quizzes and study guides. If you pay attention he basically gives you the answers. Would def take his class again.

Professor Dueppen is extremely clear on his grading criteria. He really wants students to succeed by offering extra credit constantly and dropping the lowest test score. There is also extra credit on every tests. The quizzes (there's one at least once a week) and tests are super straight forward and you will do well if you read/understand the notes

Professor Dueppen's class is hard. Expect a quiz every class session or atlease once a week. The quizzes are big portion of your grade and his tests are anything but easy. Make sure to read your textbook for details on his lecture becuase his lectures are just pure outlines.

He is a good professor overall, but he seems like he takes his job too serious for community college. His tests were very hard because you had to fill in the blanks and memorize the words with no word bank. Same goes for quizzes. Dont show up late constantly because he hates that. The class was very difficult because of the tests & there was 4

He seems really bored with his job but you'll pass if you take good notes. Without reading the book i was able to get an A but he makes you memorize lists of things rather than actual concepts. If you want a passing grade, take him... if you want to learn, don't.

He is a very straight forward professor and doesn't hold any pop quizzes if anything he is extremely fair in letting us know what WILL be exactly on his quiz and tests. Lectures are definitely amazing and interesting but you still need to work for a good grade. IF you do his journals consistently you will pass!!!

You can tell this guy is miserable at what he does. Super boring lectures and he is really rude. However, he does have A LOT of extra credit and drops your lowest exam score which helps you keep your A. He should not be a teacher! He has the worst personality.

This prof is def my favorite teacher at MC. He really cares about his students and gives really good feedback. He gives out extra credit often, his tests and quizzes are really easy if you listen to his lectures and study the notes.

I love this prof! If you can study well and often, you will get an A. He feeds you all the information you need plus extra credit, but you NEED to study. If you don't you will fail. But that's college. He is what a real college professor should be like.

He's a very good teacher and willing to work with you. His lectures are clear and easy to understand. But there is a quiz every week and the tests are long and difficult. Be prepared to read the whole book and spend a lot of time studying for quizzes and tests!

Pretty good teacher if you want low-priority class. Quizzes are easy, you can study the night before and lets you study before the quiz sometimes. Tests are easy as long as you study the previous quizzes. He is very particular on the journals so emailing him for a good grade is necessary. He even lets you drop exam.

I'm glad I got him for a psych class. I'm not interested in psychology AT ALL (I'm a business major) but he makes it interesting. He gives quizzes after every chapter then an exam after every four wish chapters. He expects you to read the book and study the outline he gives in class. If you put in some effort you'll do fine. Definitely recommend!!

Dueppen is a very straight forward teacher, which is nice because there aren't any surprises. His class was nice and easy as long as you do well on the quizzes and the 4 exams. He responds to emails right away and is great at explaining the material. Gives extra credit too!

All of his class assignments are extra credit, and he manages students grades so even if you fail the final, you can get an A or B in the class. (If you come to class everyday and do descent on his quiz's. I'm talking A's, B's, and C's.)

Loved this professor! 3 exams, 3 journal assignments & lots of quizzes but all based on notes that he writes for you. I missed the first final, failed the second, and missed one of the journals and still passed the class. Offers tons of extra credit should be an easy A!
