Do not take this class, Save yourself. Her feedback is horrible. Shes a great person but not so much of a great teacher. I didnt learn much and it held me back later on in my academics.

I hated this course. It was very difficult. She is the hardest grader. and her feedback is not always clear or doesn't make sense. I would recommend taking another professor. I really disliked the class and her as a professor. her teaching style sucks.

Horrible grader, no method to grading and barely skims over papers. Not the best at communication with students. Expects more from some than others. My advice is fly under the radar and work hard. If i could rate a 0 i would.

Don't skip class or else you'll have no idea what's needed for the next assignment, although she is horrible at explaining what she wants for homework. The work isn't hard but she forces you to build your essays one step at a time which takes much more time and effort to do instead of just writing the essay itself. Unnecessary and exhausting.

I loved Professor Feinblum! You must absolutely read to pass her class and be prepared to write longer papers. She gives amazing feedback and her choices for books are super interesting. She is one my favorite professors!

She don't explain things properly and gets frustrated easily when you don't understand something. She also puts you on the spot when your not doing good or personal things that you don't what other people to hear. She's not really supportive when you are struggling, mainly doesn't care if you pass the class or not.

You will really be doing paper after paper in this class but it has helped me improved as a writer! I highly recommend Professor Feinblum to those who want to challenge their writing skills. Total of 4 Papers, 1 Midterm (easy), and 1 Final (easy)

This class is not for procrastinators. She is a decent English Teacher, simple and straight forward. If you're a person who can keep up with all the homework and essay work, and not procrastinate at all, then you should flow just fine. The essays are manageable, except the 2nd essay. It's based off a novel and the work for it is done quickly.

You are given a handful of chances to mess up but it is up to you to want to fix them. Scheduling a time to meet with her to talk about your essay before writing a final draft and turning it in is very, very helpful. Consider it a chance to see where your paper is at and where you should polish up. Great teacher.

Comment:

Material was a little dark for my tastes (read, no happy endings, ever) but I learned a lot about other cultures and traditions. This class made me think about more than just books and papers. It got me to consider the history of tradition and encouraged pattern matching through time. Lots of hard work, but worth the effort!

Everyone who complains about this professor is either a lazy procrastinator or just not well equipped for college level essays. I wouldn't recommend taking her class if essays are your weakness because your overall grade is heavily based on your cumulative essay grade. She's very patient & helpful, so take advantage of it. Overall great class.

Best teacher I have ever had! Had her as my teacher my first semester at cc and wow, she is amazing. People say she is tough but its because 99% of the people in her class are not very smart or are extremely lazy. Alot of people dropped the class, but she is a very good real teacher. Not too hard and really interesting. She taught me so much!

Quizzes on book are easy. Had office hours but she's a tough grader. Wasn't clear on prompts and didn't clarify well. Wasn't too helpful. If you don't explain your writing how she wants to hear your essay, your essay will get a low grade. Procrastination is a BIG no-no so work efficiently. NEVER taking her again. Avoid this class if you can

She's really not hard at all, she's hard if you procrastinate. I mean what do you expect? This is a college class after all, it's not high school. The reading isn't a lot btw, its just 1 book and a few chapters of another. People here are just really bad at essays and don't try hard enough. I procrastinated horribly in this class so I got a B.

Worst english class I have ever taken in my life, all of the essays and assignments overlap and way too many readings for one semester. I do not recommend this class because she is also a very tough grader, when it comes to essays you mind as well be OUTSTANDING to receive an A in the class.

She's a tough grader, but if she loves your writing style, she'll go easy on you. You literally have to go above and beyond her guidelines in order to get an A, which are typically super unclear. It's a lot of reading and a TON of writing, but you get all the homework on the syllabus on the first day, so you can "work ahead" if you REALLY want to.
