Comment:

Karen is a good professor and photographer. She has high expectations for her students and they live up to it. She teaches photography as an art class & expects you to be creative. The projects are time consuming so extra lab hours are needed. Karen is a good teacher, she's organized & has a good memory. I would definitely recommend her!

Comment:

Teaches her theory of a good photograph; wont allow YOU to explore. Since she has her masters she's right; you're wrong- take a look at her portfolio 100% of the class agreed it was lack-luster (I asked everyone). If you're into commercialism maybe not the best teacher for you; she wants art for the sake of art. Most classmates said she was "rude."

Comment:

She is really good at Photography and you can tell she loves to teach it. She is very helpful in the lab, but expects you to learn the stuff and not rely on her to point out what needs to be fixed. exams are easy if you study. She is strict on assignments and picky about subjects, burning, dodging, and spots. But I would definitely recommend her!

Comment:

She's very strict on attendance and tardiness. She can be difficult and demanding at times but I think it can be due to her passion for the subject. She encourages you to try new subject matter. Overall I recommend her to anyone interested in photography.
