Ken's music of miles davis class was great. Knows a lot about the topic and tells you miles' story from his beginnings to his death. The listening quizzes are easy if you make a playlist and then put your iphone on shuffle to recognise the beginnings. The midterm/final is just to sing a solo. Does mess up with grading, so watch out and email him.

He is nice and Improvises very good BUT as a teacher: he wasted a lot of time from the lesson, he is so not passionate at all and I was bored. The material he taught was very hard and I had to force myself to practice because he didn't teach with any spirit and made the material more technical and less musical.

He is very slow person, speaks and move slow but still strong motion to his curriculum and I really like that he plays everything he explained with his trumpet. That's a lot of help in terms of understanding the sound of what I learned.

Not a bad guy but missed almost half our classes. When I actually had a genuine reason to miss a couple of classes he hardly helped at all. I ended up missing a performance as he had such little time to fit it in due to him missing far more classes than me yet giving me no sympathy.

Comment:
Take Ken's Music of Miles Davis class. He is an expert and very passionate about the subject. The class is highly interesting each week as Ken takes you through Miles' life from the 30s to the 90s with awesome music and videos. The midterms and quizes are challenging but extremely rewarding if you love the music. Great Class Great Teacher

Ken is the****. Whoever wrote the review before me is probably just the moron who expects his teacher to do his work for em...jeez. Ken is laid back but knows so much and has so much style. If you put in any effort to his class, then he will give back ten fold
