Comment:

If you go to WCU for graduate school you will have her twice and she is also the program coordinator. As a word of caution- go anywhere else. The program is extremely disorganized and student success is not a priority at all. This class is terrible, you will spend an extreme amount of time on it but learn a very minimal amount of information.

Ridiculously tough grader. She waits until the VERY end of the semester to grade. Also she just gives us some information and that's it, barely shows us how to actually apply it. We have so many PowerPoints and yet most of feel like we barely learned anything.

Dr. Koenig does not care about you or your grade in the class. She waits until the last 2 weeks of the semester to start grading anything. She also makes all of the exams impossible, and as a grad student I feel like I learned nothing from her "lectures" (she just records herself reading the PPT) she was the worst.

Comment:

Dr. Koenig is great! I love that she records her lectures beforehand so we can watch them when we have time. She has a lot of great information in her powerpoints. The class is more on the academic side, but I think this is good because we will get plenty of practice applying it in the clinics. Better to know what you are doing before you do it!

I hate every class I have had to take with her. She is out of touch with students. She gives us information and that's it. Doesn't help at all with actual application of things she is teaching about.

She is a very tough grader. Her class gives me so much anxiety! I don't think she is a mean person but she can get a little annoyed at us sometimes. Her quizzes are short so you absolutely have to study. You can get by without the textbook.

Great lecture videos, powerpoints have good information to study from, makes difficult concepts clear, knows a lot, class is well organized, gives a lot of info about how to do projects with examples, overall very good professor

She will make you angry. She will make you stressed. She can get a bit annoyed too. But, her toughness made me feel prepared for graduate school. Those tests are not a joke, seriously STUDY for them. They are like 25-35 questions. Also she has 8 pop quizzes.

Extremely rude prof. Refused to call me by preferred name. Ridiculous assignments that have nothing to do with language disorders. She's too lazy to ever proctor her own exams and will make you sign up for online proctoring. She WILL make you consider changing your major.

Literally the worst professor I've ever had. Unfortunately, this class is a requirement and shes the only one who teaches it. Extremely rude and demands respect from nothing. I feel so bad for her graduate assistants. Group projects are huge, so much homework, 25 question exams on information she doesn't teach. Study everything and anything.

Sadly one of the worst professors I have had at WCU. She made a class that could have been so interesting SO difficult. Does not review important material in class that will be on quizzes. Very rude and has an attitude when students ask her questions. If you take this class you will have to teach yourself all of the material-not an exaggeration.

WORST professor I have ever had at WCU. Tests are hard and she gives no reviews, feels like she wants us to fail her class. She doesn't respond to emails. I don't think she understands the content herself, to be honest. She doesn't understand questions students ask and doesn't even try to teach in an effective way. Sorry if you have to take her.

This woman is an awful educator. Unorganized, condescending, rude, and confusing. You teach yourself everything. There are way too many assignments and projects due every week. Does not give you your grades back for a very long time so you cant learn from your mistakes. Expects way too much without even teaching you. Waste of time and money.

Dr. Koenig grades very harshly and does not give you back grades in time at all. There are 4-5 written assignments. They are tedious. The tests are really hard but if you study A LOT you can get As and Bs. 7 mini pop quizzes too, which make it so you have to go to every class.

This professor was not the best. She presents too much information and only has 25-30 questions tests. The material lacks substance. The class was titled "Language Disorders" and we never even talked about language disorders. One of my least favorite classes ever.

Dr. Koenig's class is very hard. She provides very little guidance on assignments that are worth a lot of points and her tests are very difficult. This is my second class with her and she has only gotten worse. She is extremely disorganized and the class really suffers. 12 weeks into the semester and we haven't received any project grades back.

Dr Koenig is disorganized and takes forever to reply to emails. She makes you guess on assignments but won't provide any direction until after you receive a grade. She is a very tough grader for projects and her tests are very hard. All that said, she really knows what she's talking about. You really need to work to do well.

Dr. Koenig said she would move back the due date for an assignment so that we would have our previous assignment graded so that we could reflect on it by the time our next assignment was due. Well, the next assignment's due date came up and she never finished grading our previous assignment. She has had them for over a month. Tests are very hard.
