Comment:

Dr. Croll is great, she is the most accommodating prof I have ever had. She genuinely wants her students to succeed and creates a safe space for her classes and makes them enjoyable. The only problem I had in her class was that a large percentage of my grade was in the last 3 weeks of the semester, I didn't like the layout of assignments.

Rie is so so sweet and cares about her students so much. If you need an extension or have a problem with an assignment she will listen and accommodate you 100%. 10/10 prof I will be taking her again.

Rie is the sweetest. I would take her every year for the rest of university career if I could. She is very knowledgeable. She is easy to talk to. Grades fairly. Just prepare to write notes

Rie is an amazing prof and a caring person. However, throughout the entire semester we were only graded on one paper, until the very last week of classes when every other paper and project was due. This made life a bit hectic at the end of the semester, but it could have just been the course itself. I would defiantly take her again!

Rie is such a good person and you can tell she loves what she teaches. She grades hard so you really need to put in work to do well. She doesn't post notes online and does slideshows along with her lecture. If you don't write down everything she says along with whats on the slides you wont do well. Overall i love her even tho the class was tough

Rie Croll is an amazing professor. I went into sociology 1000 thinking that I was not going to enjoy the course but had an open mind. From the very first class I knew that it was going to be my favourite class all semester. Rie is understanding, very quick at responding to emails and makes it very clear that she is passionate about what she does!

Rie is amazing! So kind and helpful and really wants her students to succeed. I must have emailed her a million times this semester but she didn't mind at all! I didn't necessarily love the course but she made the lectures very interesting as she's very easy to listen to. Passionate about the subject and you can really tell. Rie's a great prof.

Took this class because its was a introduction class. Thought it was going to be easy but Ive had to put the most effort in this course this semester compared to my other courses. She expects a lot for little quizzes and for the take home final she gave us a week to write 2 essays over 3000 words while using no outside sources. Dont recommend

Her knowledge is so admirable. I loved her lectures even though this course is known for being generally boring and tough. I had to work very hard to get an A but it is certainly possible. She is so good at explaining tough readings in a way that students will understand.

She is amazing. So helpful, and so interesting to just hear her talk. She caused me to want to take more soc courses in the future. I highly recommend her! My favourite chapter in the intro course was gender, so I am sure she is amazing teaching a gender course!
