Somewhat vague in her replies, though if there is a problem she is very willing to fix it and does honestly care about student success even if it doesn't initially come across that way. Make sure you read the textbook and prepare it for the exams.

Comment:

She was helpful in her replies and the essays were marked very easy. The exams were excessively long and hard but if you prepared your book ahead of time they were doable. A nice course to do an hour or so a week and be successful.

Comment:

Genuinely helpful and open to ideas however she is very vague in her responses. Two essays in which she is very forgiving, 2 exams are extremely reasonable. Barely read my notes throughout the entire course until days leading up to the exam. However try to be as well versed in the writings she provides as well!

this was independent study. the exams are brutal- 200 true/false questions can make a person blind after 2 hours...LOTS of reading. 1 chapter from 1 book, another from the supplementary book, and articles from her corresponding lecture notes (for each unit). the papers are incredibly easy.. almost a joke: two papers @ 100% each

This class was brutal...i very much dislike this prof..I would ask a question..she was not only rude back but would be like "good luck, you are going to need it"...hope to never EVER have her again..

I ended up with 81%. This isn't a "do nothing and pass" class. You need to put in your effort. Material is very interesting. Proff. is always there with help, very accommidating. T/F tests arn't difficult. Using the course kit, sample T/F are provided. These are key to the course. Highest Grade in class:90 Lowest:38. Marks reflect effort.

She is a very kind and caring person but her "I'll write you an essay about today's topic and read it to you" teaching style is brutal to sit through and not very informative. The true and false tests were hell (I did better on the one were I just filled in the bubbles and didn't even read the questions)but definately easy marks on the essay.

This is a terrible class. The class is anti-Christ. Her bias is huge because she rejected Christianity as a teen, and it shows in her notes. If you are a Christian hoping to learn about other faiths, this is not the class for you. Her credentials aren't too tight either.

Inauthentic; Reads everything from her lecture-notes (including asides, jokes, and even small-talk). Seems unable to answer questions without taking a moment to look it up in the text. Exam questions are based on syntactical tricks, and not semantic content. Possesses an MA "native philosophy" only.

Wow, what a great teacher! Responsive, takes a huge amount of time with students, and makes the material interesting and provocative. It's a really hard class but worth the effort - slackers would not enjoy this course.

Worst prof ever! As stated, she reads from a binder and a lot of her philosophies are wrong! I've studied religions before and what she says is not always right!!! Beware of her exams, they set you up to fail. i'm in the top 10% of the class with a 65!!!

she reads the entire lecture from her binder WORD FOR WORD. when you ask her a question that is not in the binder she can't answer it. she switches around words in tests to set you up to do bad! EVEN WHEN ITS AN OPEN BOOK EXAM!!!
