Very nice man, good teaching pace and is relatively tolerant of people asking dumb questions or straight up getting his name wrong at the end of the semester. Knows his stuff and has the experience to back up what hes teaching.

He's okay. Personally not my type of teacher. Very bland and doesn't understand that we don't all share the same background knowledge. Kinda made me regret taking web lol. Especially when he talks about how it should only take two hours to finish yet reality you spend 12 and it's still not perfect. He is nice enough.

He is a great Instructor who is responsible for the students' understanding, he helps in different ways to clarify the subject. His patience to hear from the students and explain their question is an amazing behavior. He knows how to teach, and he is very organized. Not wasting time at all. His personality is great. Markis is an excellent teacher that has two things most teachers only have one of, knowledge and teaching ability. Not only does he know the course content exceptionally well, but he is patient and understanding during lectures. If you had trouble with web 1 and are stressed about web 2, get Markis as your prof and there are no worries.

Take this guy for DMIT2000 and you will not regret it. ALL solo presentations in this class. If you have presentation anxiety, he will try to accommodate that as best as he can. Rubrics are clear. Marking is easy. He has quite the humour too. This is a great class for improving presentation skills.

Another instructor I've had for multiple classes. Knows what he is doing and does a good job explaining concepts and going over material at a steady pace. Just show up for class; follow the lecture and put a little elbow grease in A. Also he really likes to keep things simple and his marking criteria is really straightforward.

He was a great photography teacher! He was very patient whenever anyone needed help with even the most basic of things, and he made lectures fun. Do make sure to ask him well in advance if you think you're going to need extra time, though, and if you're taking photography, get your own camera- the ones in the library are always taken out.

Markis is a great teacher when it came to web design. You need to go to class though. I was lazy and never went so I ended up getting a D. If I had attended class then I would have done way better.

Markis is an amazing teacher and knows what he's talking about. Always willing to help and answer questions even on the big projects if you email he will surely email you back as many times as you need till you understand. Biggest complaint:you don't know how much you know/understand until there's a project.

He taught me dmit 166 intermediate to web development last year and I got to say everything that I know and do with websites is all because of him. He is the best. His style is awesome he definetly knows his stuff and hes the reason that I love web development more than I ever did Thanks markis.

Markis is genuinely interested in going out of his way to make sure all of his students pass his class and have an understanding of the material, which is a rare quality in a college level teacher. He's friendly and helpful, but at the same time he won't baby you, so make sure your doing your research.

OMFG IF YOU GET THIS GUY FOR WEB AND FLASH. IT's going to be really easy.. thats if you know your stuff. He knows NOTHING in WEB and FLASH if you ask him a question he'll just tell you to search it up on the web. He's a pretty easy teacher but seriously really USELESS and a waste of my money! I learned more in tutorials on the web than from him.
