Comment:
This professor has no ability to teach this class. She cannot further explain the lecture content because she does not know or understand it. I received several papers back with no markings on them, but 10 or more points taken off. When asked, she couldn't tell me why and just told me I had done fine.

Dr. Egbert was an awesome professor and definitely knows what she's talking about. She made Senior Seminar a relaxed and enjoyable class especially given the circumstances from COVID. She was super understanding and really cared about our wellbeing.

Comment:
Dr. Egbert is a great and knowledgeable professor. She is very smart and passionate about Health communication. She is a very caring and understanding person if you get to know her. Talks a lot about personal life and kids. Hard grader, not much feedback. Only thing I dislike about her is that most of her info and lectures are very outdated.

Comment:
She's not clear about her expectations. If you want any details, you have to demand them. She also has no sense of urgency. Rather than giving you time to work on assignments (as she says she will), she goes on and on about irrelevant topics because she has no sense of urgency. She's unprofessional and painfully indecisive.

I really enjoyed professor Egbert's Interpersonal Communications course. She really cares about her students and makes a point to communicate with us. Her personal stories expressed great examples of the concepts we were learning in class, and often times they were really funny. She is down-to-earth and overall a genuine, likeable person.

Dr. Egbert is fantastic. According to other comments, it may depend on what class you have her for, but Interpersonal Comm is wonderful. I believe she grades fairly and is truly concerned about each student. She does share a lot of personal information, but it makes her very relatable. She is the reason I picked my major.

Comment:
I agree with other commenters that she is a hard grader, but I think she is a good teacher and very knowledgeable on Health Communication. She focuses narrowly on her area of specialty and sometimes doesn't get it when you want to do something that doesn't fit into the existing body of research. Overall, I liked her and I think she's a good person.

I almost did not take this class bc previous ratings. They were so wrong! Dr. Egbert is my favorite prof at KSU now. She expects a lot out of her students but her positive reinforcement encourages you to do good. She is concerned with each student and an excellent prof. She is very confident, uses a lot of humor and explains things in full detail.

This was by far the worst professor I have ever had. She was consistently late, and when she did arrive she talked about herself and her personal life for the first 20min. of every class. She was consistenly unprepared and assigned a major project before covering the chapters that it pertained to. If you can avoid taking a class with her I would!

Realistic workload for an upper level class and a challenging elective. This class presented an opportunity to apply communication theories to real world situations, a must take.

She gives no direction as to where you are to be going in class. When asked specifically how to do something she says one way and grades another way. She appears and talks as if she is layed back but her attitude and grading say much more. Be prepared going into this class to put in 200%.
