Professor Parker does not communicate clearly to his students. There were many times in the class when my grade suffered because of this. Do not recommend.

Professor Parker's classes are very tough. You'll need grit. He is an expert in the economics field and likes sharing his enthusiasm with his students. There are weekly quizzes, two midterms, one proctored final, and two large, time-consuming papers. The tests are hard and no curves on any. Do the work, put the time in, and you'll pass.

Parker is an awesome professor with a good sense of humor and a passion for what he teaches. I am Economics major and I found this to be an absolute bore of a class, but I enjoyed attending his lectures. If you don't read the textbook, take notes, and be diligent with your papers you will struggle to pass.

This was one of the better upper-division classes I have taken. There are weekly readings and questions to do that are easy as well as a quiz based on the book. He wrote the book so the answers are not online, however, the first 2 tests are open note. There are two papers, somewhat hard. He is pretty funny and makes the class engaging. I recommend!

Professor Parker is truly one of the most passionate professors at UNR. His class is challenging but he uses a different grading scale and it is fair. If you would like to learn and would like a challenge I recommend taking econ 305 or one of his other courses.

This professor not only does a good job of covering the material for our introductory microeconomics course, but he also connects the material to real life. Taking his class greatly got me interested in economics and I ended up choosing to minor in this subject. Really wish I could take another one of his classes.

Dr. Parker is one of the best professors I have had. His class is difficult, but he knows that, which is why he has a very generous grading scale. He makes his lectures applicable to real life. Don't understand something, ask a question or go into his office hours. He is great and cares about his students' success.

First thing first, he tests are extremely hardcore! BUT, he curves, and he grades fairly easy on u as long as u don't leave it blank. Although ppt are not posted online, but all you need to do is to read the online txtbook that he wrote. Be sure to charge your phone, cuz u gonna use app to answer questions as well as attendance. Do NOT skip class.

Elliot Parker is probably the worst professor at UNR! This class is beyond the 300 level. Slides are not online and there's no study guide for the VERY difficult tests. He expects TOO much. Attendance is required through the use of turning point yet you get 2 free absences. I'd say AVOID AT ALL COSTS, but unfortunately, he is the only on for 305...

Prof. Parker is probably the best lecturer i've had in the College of Business. The exams are difficult, and he makes you work for a good grade, but you'll walk away with a sense of "wow I actually learned a ton". He has tons of life experience in economics and can answer literally ever question we sent his way.

Profesor Parker is very knowledgeable, he really knows what he talks about, however, when it comes to teaching he is the worst. Heavy lecture, goes super fast with the slides and gets mad when asked to go back. Attitude, very arrogant. He forgot he was teaching a 100 level class, NOT a 400 level course. Stay away if you can!

Parker was a good professor. The class is hard, but his grading scale does help even if you feel like you don't know what you are doing because you will get credit on quizzes and exams. He really does pull in real life issues and is very knowledgeable about the subject which made the class interesting.

Avoid if possible. He flies through lectures and never does simple examples- he instead skips to the hard stuff before you even know the basics. He's arrogant and not helpful. He uses a 4 point grading scale where a 2.0 (50%) is a B and so on, so you'll end up passing the class feeling like you know nothing. The HW is not at all relevant to tests.

This professor is by far the worst one I have had so far. He taught his 101 level class like it was a 400+ level class. He flew through lectures and wouldn't go back when students asked him to. He assumed that we all knew what he was talking about and tests were difficult! I do not recommended taking a course taught by him!

HE IS THE WORST TEACHER I have had at UNR. The online homework assigned through MyEcon Lab does not align with the lecture material. He quizzed us the second week on material from Chapters 5 and 6 when the homework for Chapter 2 was not even due yet. Extremely fast lecturer and short, rude and abrupt. I dropped the class.

Would not take this class unless you have a very good understanding of Econ. He seems to know what he's talking about but everything he says goes way over most of the classes head and he gets very frustrated by that. Attendance is mandatory for clicker scores, there is at least one homework a week that is semi difficult, and the test are difficult.

I'm taking this class spring semester and we don't have to write any papers. Reading the book helps me out more than the lecture because he sort of over explains things. Clickers are very important for points and doing your homework is very important. Honestly the tests are hard so you really need to put time and effort into this class

Professor Parker is a really smart man, but when it comes to teaching his students he treats them as Econ majors. I had just come out of 103 and straight into this class and it was nearly impossible to pass any of his quizzes. His grading scale is a joke and is the only reason I passed
