Very educated, smart and experienced professor, definitely an expert in his field. Nice and friendly. Exams are little tough thou, but if you spend at least 5-10 hours of intense studying of slides and questions(he gives study guides)before exams, you'll do fine. But you do have to study. Your book is going to be your best friend in this class. That and at least 1 trip to the museum before each exam. Pay attention in his class and take notes and read the book to clarify. The subject is more intersting than he makes it but its not a bad class. His exams are no joke and there is definitely material from the museums so don't skip it.

Guys, take him - just study slides, go to Metropiltan (twice), and do not sleep in the class. He is smart, and you will learn a lot. Do not have to take notes during the class because you will not use them later ;))) Read the book, I got previous edition -he is fine with it, Moreover, he gives you pages for both editions -sweet;)) Midterms are easy

Don't listen to these other comments. The class was actually interesting...you go to college to learn, not to slack! The guy is a little monotone but you can tell he is SO passionate about the things he is teaching you. Come to class, DON'T SLEEP, and study the slides like crazy and you can def get a good grade.

Hands down the worst professor at Baruch. He does not care about students and is extremely boring. He puts you to sleep after 10 minutes and marks you down for sleeping as well. If you want to destroy your GPA take this class.

oh, please, would you rather read 130 pages of the text book? Just find the answers to his study guide that he gives you before the exam. his guides are clear and gives u an idea about what u should know- easy enough. Lots of slides, nothing complicated, unless u have memory problems.he gives u 10% for attendance.

Ok, first off if you can avoid this class, avoid it. If you can't be prepared to sleep in class all the time. Coming to class is pointless, this guy has no personality, and the whole class is basically the textbook, he shows slides in every class. Had to work very hard in his class for a c+. Make sure you know the slides very well, and know the small details of artifacts because they will be on the test. Clear and simply, this professor clearly loves his job. But his slideshow classes can be a real bore, especially when he dims the lights. Tests are OK as long as you can remember 30 different dates for 30 different slides. Worst part is that he actually checks attendance!

He's a really nice guy. His passion for art is adorable. But it does tend to get a little boring. Just read the chapters and STUDY THE SLIDES! I got a C+ - if i would've actually tried I would've gotten an A. Make up the work at home. Just study study study - you'll do fine

good teacher if you are inetersted in the subject..knows a lot of abt the subject but is kinda boring...you have to work hard to get an A but can get a B easily. 3 exams which are worth 20, 25 and 35 percent of the final grade.
