Avoid. He's very intimidating. Extremely hard to follow. 3 weeks in and we had barely gotten through the first chapter. Too much repetition of the same material, don't even get me started on the globe & mail. It doesn't matter that he lets you revise work.If he decides he doesn't like you, watch out cause he'll just shoot down anything you say.

Interesting class, only because there was an election...not a terrible prof, but a bit dry, Fair and like others said, no harm in being able to redo papers...

Oh Reggie. Classes are a little dry. Had him for my seminar class. We googled things for 2 1/2 hours, read a tiny textbook and then wrote a big essay that could be revised. Please. Do the work and it is impossible to get less than an A. He also was enthusiastic about being a reference for me for graduate studies and he helped me make a CV.

RCS is fair enough, and is understanding if you go and talk to him. A fairly difficult grader, but gives good feedback. He also lets you edit your papers for a better grade. Lots of reading, but the class is a bit of a bore. Doesn't help when its on camera. Good prof, decent class.

Wow.. could barely stay awake during class. Excessive use of irrelevant MAPS. I never want to see another map in my life. Very hard marker with unhelpful feedback. This man thinks his students should write like professionals. Sorry Reg, we cannot all be as great as you are! Just a reminder.. you're teaching a 2000 level INTRO course. take it easy.

Very smart man. Very senile man. Gave the same lecture three classes in a row. Frequently forgot what he was talking about. Gave little to no indication of what he wanted for his papers. Don't forget though....Dates are like sign posts, and question marks mean something!...only things I learned all semester

A very intelligent professor. His classes can be a little boring and he is a hard marker, however all essays can be re-written and re-submitted for a better mark. Who can complain about that?

"i dont think im wasting your time here" was a memorable quote from this prof. I recommend this guy if you want to go to class once a month and still be on the same chapter as last time. when you do go to class tho i suggest you bring a pillow because this joker is BORINGGGG!

I liked this course and the professor. Apart from learning a lot of new material and how to analyze and write better, he made it possible for me to improve my grade and did the same for anyone else in the class who was interested. He has high standards but I found him to be fair. It's a great course for self improvement.

I'm an A student and made it onto the deans list last semseter. Reg forced me to the end of my sanity and failed almost all my papers which i worked on tirelessly. I finally had to drop out to avoid ruining my GPA. Avoid this man he is unfair and is completly biased!

Prof Stuart is one of the best profs around and is always well prepared for class. The complainers would have less to complain about if they did the readings, which for me were easily manageable, even with me taking 6 courses last semester. The Mount is lucky to have a prof of this caliber and I am lucky to have had him for a prof.I highly recommend.

Reg is into his final teaching years and it shows. although he may be an expert in his field, his teaching style (off-topic, wandering oratory) is tedious at worst and frustrating at best. i had 2 of his classes in same smester which turned out to be practically the same class taught from 2 differnt texts. nice man, questionable prof.

Excellent course and first rate prof. It was a bit challenging at first but he couldn't have been more helpful. He is interested in what the students have to say and always encourages discussion. It made for a very relaxed atmosphere.

I've learned so much in this course. Reg is an awesome prof and very approachable and a super nice person. He is a fair marker and gives you a chance to get a higher grade by redoing your paper. I definitely want to take more courses from him as he is the best I've had at the Mount.

Really nice guy. Fair maker. Classes tend to be a little on the dry side. My suggestion would be to take his courses that are on TV so you can fast forward through the countless maps that in the end really mean nothing.
