eh, dont take him if u want to learn. he's not tech savvy and his lectures are just going over the assignments. I have not learned anything concrete from this class. weird grader. the only good thing i can say about this prof is that he doesn't have concrete due dates, and that's what saved my grade.

Comment:

Hes not really tech savy. I literally had to teach him how to put due dates and he puts up the assignments due for each week only. He never gives out 100s except on quizzes and his feedback sucks. He is extremely monotone and boring. His mandatory zooms are him just going over the assignments. An assignment is due everyday. Dont take him.

This class is an EASY A. But I despise it, it's probably my least favorite class right now. He gives the same five assignments every week. His lectures are a waste of time, as he only talks ab the assignment, doesn't go over it. Grades poorly and gives little to no feedback. If you are looking to learn don't take but if you want to pass go for it

Had him during the pandemic so that didn't help but it was so tremendously boring. He's super sweet but a horrible grader. Graded one of my friends wrong for using 'too advanced of a vocabulary'. Liked him initially because it was chill but I don't understand the purpose of the class. Easy A I guess lol

Comment:

Its an easy class, but felt like it could easily been an online class. Basically a 15 minute lecture followed by 3 weeks of in class writing activities. He also has no idea what technology is, so be prepared to give your printer a workout with all the handouts he requires we print. I probably spent $30-40 at the ricoh. also gives terrible feedback.

Assignments are 4 papers & final. He gives students time to do each part of the paper & gives each draft back corrected so the student can get better grade in the final draft of each of the four papers. There are in-class activities everyday but they are extremely easy. He's clear, just follow his instructions he's actually nice. (took him twice)

This professor graded our papers and never gave us them back so there was no way fo knowing our grades until the semester ended. The lectures were super boring and there was so much bust work. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Avoid this professor. Super rude and annoying. Literally felt like I was in middle school. 4 papers and one final in-class exam. Busywork every single class, which he is anal about. He will correct every single detail on your paper even if it's correct. I would never take him again.

This class reminded me of being back in the sixth grade. He gives and in-class assignment EVERY class and it's always the same one: read something and then answer questions on it. Yes, this class was easy, the hard part was bringing myself to put any effort into the assignments and actually show up to class. Take it if you want an easy A.

I took professor Ellsworth in the fall of 2018. Please avoid him; he is unclear with assignments and will give you feedback that he does not understand himself. In addition, he will show sexually inappropriate pictures during image analysis. If you can, please avoid taking him.

Be prepared to write a lot in this class. Theres a total of 4 essays + 1 final essay. Very easy if you follow his instructions. There will be class work but its fairly simple. I would recommend taking the class.

The class work is 4 essays, in-class assignments, and final exam. The in-class assignments are graded by completion and are mandatory. I did not understand the format of how to write the papers. Really great guy. 4 overall papers, one final inclass essay. During class he makes us do assignments to turn in but theyre extremely easy and mainly just busy work. Super relaxed dude and he gives good feedback on your essays. You get extra credit (+10 points) on each essay just by going to the writing center in GL. Easy english class, take him!

This professor is fairly easy. He has his issues. HE IS THE RUDEST PROFESSOR EVER! Once a person left their book at home and was able to do the in-class assignment through a picture. When the assignment was submitted he crumpled the paper and threw it away laughing. Not to mention that image analysis was like walking into an adult store.

Rex is an amazing teacher, he cares a lot for his students. There are many in class activities, which are very easy. There are 4 essays, and one final essay that you have to write in class. Just make sure to attend class, do the the essays, and you will be fine!

He grades the essays pretty easily, just follow the outlines and you should be okay. Be prepared to print A LOT. The peer reviews he does in class can be pretty helpful but he was very slow at grading the final drafts of the essays. The lectures are pretty repetitive as well. You read out of the textbook & do in class assignments based off of them.

I am taking this professor in the summer2018 and I loved him!! For the way he teaches, he is really good explaining, gives you a lot of activities in class that makes you understand better the assigment. You do not need to buy the book and he is very caring and flexible. :)
