I am currently taking Precalculus with Professor Cavanaugh, and it's going well. He tells us what he expects and what the assignments are. Grades are based on 13 quizzes (which he drops the lowest 3) and the final. Do the homework that he assigns to be prepared for the quizzes. USE OFFICE HOURS!

Mr. C is a genuinely great person and professor. He is clear about his expectations and understands that his students have individual needs too. He also makes an effort to learn his students names which is awesome. I had him half in person and half online because of the pandemic and he was great at communicating. I enjoyed going to his class!

Listen when I tell you I failed the First time I took Stats at another University; I've always been terrible in math in general. But Mr.C is extremely clear with what he expects. Responds to emails quickly, no busy work. Instructions to each chapter are clear. Weekly Quizzes are straight to the point. He's a great professor! Would recommend.

He tries hard to allow all students to pass. I found the material dumbed down (I am a math double major) and it does not pay to argue with him even when he is wrong as he does know the concepts beyond what is in the course materials. So if you want advanced knowledge go elsewhere.

Professor Cavanaugh was amazing! Took pre-calc online. Was super clear and simple even though I'm terrible at math. He was also super accommodating when I wasn't able to take the test at the time that he had set it to be open. He gives partial credit and grades very nicely. Easy A, good professor, respectful. One of the best experiences ever!

Hes an awesome guy. I was in a 50 minute class with him and most times only spent 20-30 minutes in there before he told us we could leave early. He gave us plenty of practice opportunities for the exam and although math is not my strong subject he made the class enjoyable and was very good about answering questions.

If you have struggled with math in the passed, Mr. C is the professor for you! He may be one of my favorite professors on campus. He is very focused on what he is teaching and loves to help every student get to the same level of understanding the material. Mr C. is fantastic at explaining how math works and keeps things simply and clear.

Mr. C is AWESOME. Gives weekly quizzes each Friday and drops the lowest two. No midterm- instead combines all your quiz grades and averages it out. There is an excel project given throughout the course but its super easy. He really knows how to teach! Really wants the students to understand the material he talks about. Best teacher in Platts!

Take him if you think your "bad" at math. Weekly quizzes but he goes over everything on the Wednesday or right before the quiz so you dont need to study. Repeats problems so much that you understand them. Very easy and understanding. Lets you hand in a project as many times until you get a 100 and he tells you what you need to do right. Great guy!

Mr. C is great. There are quizzes every week which is good because if you do bad on a couple it won't really affect your grade because there is so many to average. Also, he drops the two lowest. If you practice the handouts on moodle and pay attention you'll get a good grade. He is very understanding and helpful. There is one test for the final.

Its Business Stats 1, i was worried going in to the class, it was once a week, ans we never stayed longer than 2 hours ever. If you go very good on the quizzes every week, and do the problems assigned and maintain a 95 average you will get exempt from the final, i liked the class, and i would for sure take him again if i had to pick,

Mr. C is an excellent teacher. He knows his stuff and loves teaching the subject. I had him for 2 hours, and we always got out of class early. Gave weekly quizzes instead of tests, which is way better. Wants to make sure everyone does well in his class, no matter what.

Mr. C was very helpful, Math is my weakest subject and I was always able to ask questions as needed, he is a fair grader as long as you read the subjects each week and show your work you will pass the quizzes each week!

Honestly the best math teacher of my entire education. I took this class as a "grade-upper" and it worked. It's basic algebra (the first lesson is literally adding 7+4) but if you were having difficulty later in the semester, he is there 100 percent for you. Truly a great guy. 10/10 would recommend.

If you need a grade-upper, take this class. He is such great professor and makes it enjoyable. There's quizzes almost every friday (out of 25 points - then he will drop 2 or 3 of the lowest) and then the final is a test of 40ish questions. 10/10 would recommend

Very laid back, sweet professor. He's always willing to answer questions, always. Cavanaugh doesn't give homework - - only weekly quizzes. If you go to class and study go to tutoring, you should pass. Failed the test but still passed from doing well on the quizzes. Attendance is only taken on Friday for the quizzes.
