Your grade in this class is determined by 3 exams. She is very challenging and if you miss any classes you wont understand whats going on. I would look for an easier professor because during lecture she goes through the chapters and doesnt review for tests. Most of the work is up to you.

10/10 would not recommend. She speeds through lectures and doesn't understand why students don't get it. If you do ask questions or give a wrong answer she is very condescending. If you don't show up, you definitely will not pass.

Her lectures are extremely clear and insightful (make sure you show up). Her tests are fair and easy if you study the material (she doesnt go off subject). Has office hours to help. Has lots of pop quizzes People on here claim she is stuck up because she dresses well (?) she is the head of the Chem department so she obviously has to look nice!!!

DO NOT take her. Save yourself the struggle and grade now, take a nice teacher who actually cares more about their students and not their looks. Very stuck up and condescending. So rude! I Never had a teacher like that... I dont know how she made it in life with her attitude.

I hate her. she literally thinks she is better than everybody, and makes her students feel like crap. shes absolutly crazy and took a girls phone because it was on her desk and put it next to the trash!!! so rude. her teaching is just absolutly horrible she cares more about herself & how she looks rather than teaching. dont take her! take erin

She is a great teacher I highly recommend her, she is very knowledgeable and can ask her any question about chemistry and she'll always have an answer for you. When I first saw these negative commends I was scared, since I have a learning disability and thought I wouldn't be able to pass, but through hard work (and extra credit) I more than passed!

I am international student and Quincy Colege is my second college in USA. Dr. Yatin is by far the best teacher. She knows material and can teach well. She made me feel comfortable in her classes, offered help whenever I needed help. She helps students and gives chances to incraese your grade. I recemmended her to all f my friends.

Wouldn't recommend to those who value genuine friendly atmosphere in the classroom. Punctuality is not her thing; loads with tons of h/w(which is gd) but she doesn't go through it to correct (so one has no clue if the material is understood correctly). she tries to create this cool nonchalant image, but it comes across as rude & tactless.

She is a very hard professor because of the homework and quizzes. But she teaches you well. I went to the tutor twice a week and I managed to get an A in her class. So I recommend this class, you'll learn alot.
