Shay is basically the most down to earth professor that there is at Orange coast college. She's very respectful and just down right cares. If I would have known about her earlier, I would have taken her sooner. She's preggers so won't be back this year but next year for sure! TAKE THIS CLASS!!

One of the best classes I have ever taken! Ms. Shay is the most down to earth teacher I have ever had. She respects everyone and gets to know all of her students. I made some great friends in this class and we hang out all the time. We all bonded with the teacher and had so much fun! Participation and attendance is key! Interact. Fun class!

This class was fantastic and everyone that was in it looked forward to showing up. we were all friends by the end of it and even had a pot-luck and hung out on the last class. On top of that i met my amazing girlfriend in this class. I wold highly recommend taking her as a teacher. just look out for the tests, they are suprisingly tricky.

Ms Shay is amazing. you have to take her for any comm class. her lectures are fun, interesting, and has fun little activities. she is very open and what is said in the class stays. Study Study Study!!! it may seem like an easy class, but her tests are tough (only 2). Make sure you do all the assignments. they come a long way.

Professor Shay was absolutely wonderful! She is very kind and encouraging. I grew so much during this class. I deathly afraid of public speaking at the beginning, but she had us do lots of different activities to get to know each other so everyone felt much more comfortable. I highly recommend this class, very interesting, informative and even fun!

I LOVED this Public Speaking class. She tries to get students to break out of their shell by interacting with other students in class. The activities were fun and educational. She usually starts class with fun facts. You shouldn't take this class if you're shy. But then again, you shouldn't take any PS if you're shy. Didn't need the book much. FUN

i re took ms. shay's class after 2 & 1/2 years & i highly reccomend that u take her for speech 100. shes an amazing teacher all around & has a positive presence to her that is really great. her class is convenient and well planned out. you have to do your best to get a good grade, but she is a great teacher and teaches very clearly and well.!

Shay is such an awesome teacher! I thoroughly enjoyed taking Interpersonal Communications with her! Very interesting concepts, and she comes up with very helpful ways to help you understand them! You get to be incredibly close with the rest of the class. It is like no other class I have taken at OCC! I would definitely recommend taking this class!

lovable teacher. does a lot of fun and different things in class. grades speeches easily as long as you do what you're supposed to. we got to dance for extra credit on the last class. many friends were made in this class too. It was awesome.

Ms. Shay's class is an experience. She gives exams that can sometimes be difficult to determine a right answer but she gives so a good amount of extra credit and also tells you EXACTLY what she wants in your speech. If you give her that, she'll give you an A on the speech. Very fun on days that aren't test days or days where you're presenting. :)

Didn't have an interest in Public Speaking, seeing that I am shy, but she really brought out the ease and comfortablness with everyone. She made it so comfortable to go up there and say our speech, because everyone was nervous and really there is no need to be, seeing that we were all new to public speacking. Easy class, so long as you attend.

Ms. Shay is an amazing teacher! You have to do all speeches in order to get a good grade. She is very helpful, and all the speeches are fun and easy, the most difficult i thought was the political speech. Our whole class was very close and bonded so well. She does not like u on your cell so TURN IT OFF or put it on SILENT.
