Professor Pombo made the class fun. She's always so vibrant and full of energy when she enters the classroom. She gives out plenty of opportunities for extra credit. She also makes sure you know everything you need to know before exams. Oh yeah, the TA was really easy on the eyes too, which made it even better!

Comment:

She is a real gem at OCC who will make your piano skills soar, regardless of your level entering her class. She makes difficult concepts easy to grasp and she really cares about the success of her students. Her grading criteria is clear, so make sure to practice sufficiently and often outside of class.

Having never played an instrument before, I took this class expecting the worst. I was delightfully surprised as to how much I enjoyed it. She is an incredible instructor and a great pianist. Keep in mind, you do have to practice often or you may struggle during class. I will be taking piano 2 with her. Lenient grader.

I am taking piano one with her. She is so inspirational for those who wants to learn to play the piano. The theory books as homework are not much. She gives very helpful tips to you. Extra credit opportunities if you go to the school's concert. I def will take her piano 2 3 and 4 classes.

Teresa is a marvelous instructor and is always more than willing to help students. This class is an easy A; there are 100 pts worth of EC opportunities. With that being said, relax! It will be more rewarding to take genuine interest in learning theory and wanting to improve upon your technique over earning a grade. Self discipline also helps! GL :)

Teresa is so sweet and great at teaching. Have any troubles or questions? Just go up to after class and she'll help you on the spot. Performance tests are soo nerve-racking, so you must practice! If you weren't able to take a test makeups are allowed with very little deduction of points.

LEGEND! Seriously, Piano 2 was the only class I actually looked forward to waking up at 7 am to attend!! And I am a night owl. ;) She is the greatest teacher ever!! I have never known any other music professor to break down complicated theory concepts and make them easy and memorable. She will have you playing Beethoven and Mozart in a month!

I LOVE HER!!!! she's an amazing piano teacher! Before I would self teach and it was hard to grasp notes and theories, but Teresa makes it all so clear! It does gradually get harder towards the end and you do need to practice a lot, but this class is so worth it. If my schedule would've allowed, I would take her for Piano 2 in a heartbeat :)

She is so talented and such an adorable lady! She teaches the class so well--even slow learners like me can succeed. The workbook homework was doable and helps you learn the notes! She gives so much extra credit, you have no excuse not to get an A! Ask her to play Chopin, and you will cry because she's THAT good.

She is an excellent teacher. She's definitely well qualified and she's really helpful when you ask her for assistance. The books are crucial but cheap. Attend class as often as possible. Practice a lot, attendance isn't enough. All of her tips have helped me perform better and get a better grade. Try to get her to play, she's AMAZINGLY talented.

mrs pombo has got 2 be one of the nicest teachers @ occ. shes the kind of teacher that doesnt yell @ u if u dont get the right notes or rhythm. instead, she slowly breaks everything down so that every1 in class understands whats going on. just dont be obnoxious like pound on the keyboards out of turn that pisses her off but she tries not to show it
