Professor Booth is the worst professor I have met. I emailed her last night about my concerns about the final and I even email her couple days ago because I was confused. My midterm was a C- and from a C- I went down to an a F. I keor trying to pass because I thought I would have hopes. I'm not taking her class again. Avoid her if you can.

I don't know why Prof. Booth hasn't gotten more positive reviews - awesome Professor! She grades & responds quickly, is happy to help her students, clear w her expectations, keeps the course content interesting, and is positively motivating! You will work for it but you will get a lot out of this class. One of my only 4 favs @ QCC! Take her class!!

Great instructor but homework assignments are usually a short essay almost every week. I learned a lot therefore, would take again. Lots of reading to do. Triple check your grammar before turning in your work. Grades with a fine tooth comb.

Had her online for The American Short Story. Not a hard class if you like to read. But she doesn't help you out at all. Leaves very simple comments like "good observation" or "Needs more clarity". Inconsistent grader too. If you're looking for an online blow-off, don't take this course. You need to work for your grade.

I enjoyed her class. Responded timely to email (usually in a few hours) and gave feed back on all assignments. I learned a lot from her class and I would take one of her classes again.

(I took her online class.) Really enjoyed this class! You must have a good grasp on writing and expressing ideas to do well. She's a strict but fair grader. Responds quickly to everything and offers help when needed. Does a great job of offering interesting course material as well. If I ever needed to I would certainly take another class w/ her!

Great professor! I learned a lot in her class. Strict, direct, and does not tolerate tardiness but if you want to learn and you appreciate literature, take her class. She is fair with her grading system and goes by her syllabus on the dot. She took her time to explain things to me when i requested her help. I would definitely take her again!

Excellent experience, I had her for online course. She gave quick feedback. Was very encouraging for efforts, and although grades fairly stictly I was challenged with my attention to detail. Do the work and you will do well.

This is a good, solid teacher. Very clear, gives interesting assingments. She expects you to put thought into your work. I appreciated her quick feedback in my online class. Like that in HUM 142 you didn't have to buy a book. Loved doing the website.

She is a really nice lady, usually. Her grading is VERY strict. She did not like our class so I think that had a lot to do with it. She marked me 20 points off for e-mailing her a paper 30 minutes after class ended. I thought this was ridiculous. Class got off topic almost everyday and I didn't learn much. Don't take her class, save yourself!

For SPH (and I'm sure a lot of people would disagree) I didn't think she was so bad. Yes--it was generally an all-or-nothing class, but that isn't her fault. People don't like to do the work in SPH classes. Do the work, follow the instructions, get an A. If you don't she'll talk down to you...but that won't be a problem, right?

I had Prof. Booth for 101 and enjoyed her class enough to take her 102 class, which was a mistake. The questions she asks are very unclear and she makes every student feel unecessarily stupid and small. This of course leads to a very long, quiet, ackward, and boring class in which no one wanted to sit through.

This is probably one of the worst professor's I've ever had! She treats every student as if they're children (i.e. watching over you making sure you're doing your work, takes away cell phones, not on the computer). Grading is rediculous! Overall, Terrible Professor. If you can, CHANGE PROFESSORS!!!!

I took 101 with her, I enjoyed it throughly, it was a challeging class. I am a older student and had a major family issue and Booth was more than empathic and understanding. I choose to take 102 with her because she does challege you to think for yourself. I loved using the web board, only complaint with that would be not enough students posting

Take it with Nelson if she is still there. She's so much a sigh of relief. No tests in Nelson's class, just tons of papers. Do not drop. Easy A. This class, much more difficult than average. Also, do not learn that much. A very nice person for an advisor, but not as teacher.
