One of the only competent teachers int he program. She on her own terms, an inspiring lady because she is passionate but she also shines in comparison to most of the other profs in the department who run their classes like grade seven recess.

Awsome, very friendy, good well though out assignments that got you to think about social processes and were fun to do. there was also a good choice of assignments and alot of good class discussion...was a little heated sometimes though

I really enjoyed everything we read and learned in Valda's class. She is very knowledgeable about what she is teaching. I haven't found her to be a hard marker or to only give good grades to opinions that agree with hers. To do well with Valda, all you need to do is question everything!
