Comment:

The reviews speak the truth, both good & bad. The good: he knows his stuff. If you want to learn audio production, he's your best chance of learning it correctly. The bad: he is extremely judgmental. If you oppose his right wing nut job politics (which he WILL impose upon you in class) or are the least bit nonconformist, he won't be fair with you.

After having him once, you'll hear the same 4 jokes and 5 stories in EVERY. SINGLE. CLASS you have with him. He's a great teacher, but can be really annoying-- especially when he lets the same students kiss his ass constantly.

He's great! Very funny, nice and will give feedback and suggestions when you send him drafts of a paper. Very understanding about needs and issues. Always wants to hear your opinion and listen to your concerns. He offers little extra credit like if there is a lecture or a speaker. Took him once, and taking him for sure again.

Professor Michaels is a really cool professor. He wants you to pass his class and he loves if you visit him during his office hours. I had him for lots of my classes including Changing Wrld of Communication, Intro to Multi-Media Prduction (Audio), Intro to Socl Media and Workshop in Radio Prog/Prod. Vic is a funny guy and I recommend him.

His classes are just a venting session about everything he dislikes in life. I wanted to learn about radio, but instead I learn about the Rhode Island GOP. His resources are outdated. His radio class is very unengaged. Talk about a cynic. He is a bigot and dislikes black people. Dude just yells to hear his own voice.

Great Guy tells a lot of jokes which are highly hilarious. Teaches discipline which is highly needed in today's world. He motivates you and you need that today

A highly knowledgeable professor, with a true passion for radio and comm in general. However, he is as for-mentioned in previous comments, a condescending and arrogant man. Constantly going off-topic and wasting valuable time. With that being said, his class was interesting and I am glad I took it.

I've had Vic three times already and he's a great guy. Very approachable and he is very intelligent. My advice for Mass Media? READ THE BOOK, or you will get a C. That is the hardest class that Dean College offers. READ THE BOOK!

I liked the class overall. He does give a lot of different grades and he drops the lowest quiz grade. He will give you extra help too if you need it as he is pretty much around most of the time. I thought 2 papers was a bit much though.

I liked this class and Vic is interesting, but he doesn't cut many breaks, you have to do the work. He is clear that you must read the book for the quizzes and it is true! If you don't read the book you will not pass the quizzes. There is also a lot of stuff like papers and presentations. Overall the class was interesting.

Comment:

Great class but demanding. You have to read the book and there are a couple of papers and a presentation. The final exam was intense! If you want to learn something take the class, but if you are looking for something easy this is not it. The topics are pretty cool too.
