The worst teacher I have ever had. She spends all of the class time doing unclear explanations of topics you could learn better from reading the textbook. No examples on the board, very unclear explanation of homework. Gets questions wrong on the board. Writes impossibly small on whiteboards. Terrible teacher, do not take her class ever!

Never had a teacher this terrible in my entire life. I am not exaggerating when I say that either. She does not speak up in class, writes in script which nearly looks like scribbles. She gets angry if you ask questions, and blocks the board with her body as she writes. If you are trying to hate physics and your life, take this class.

Worst teacher imaginable, mean and angry the whole time, listening to her made everything more confusing. She is the reason tenure should not exist. I had to drop the class, I couldn't take it anymore. If you get stuck with her, make sure you don't talk, stretch, ask questions, wear a jacket, move your leg, etc. unless you like being yelled at.

A bit hard to understand (has an accent), doesn't project her voice at all so the room has to be dead silent to hear her. I have learned more from my textbook in 1 hours than from one of her 2 hour lectures. Don't rely on learning the content from the lectures. BAD COMMUNICATOR! A good physics teacher is hard to come by, Alena is not that good

If you did the reading before class .. You understood what she was teaching other wise you were lose. But thats just with physics in general. I would do extra problems not assigned and went to her with questions she always was more than helpful . If you put the work . She will be your greatest resource!

This professor is really bad, she's unclear, rude, and gets the problems she's going over wrong. If you take her just know that the test make up the majority of the grade and are really easy you just have to find a way to learn the material.

She was the worst teacher i have ever had in my entire life. She never spoke to you about the grade or tried to help you understand if you didn't. She physically pushed me out of her way once because I asked her how i got he question wrong an she wouldn't answer then pushed me because I was in her way.

needs to retire from work she is the worst teacher ever to have. for the lab she walks in takes attendance talk about the lab and then leaves. she shows back up when class has five minutes left. take college physics instead of tech physics

She is a terrible instructor but easy grader. Just compare your answers. I went from a D to an A because I noticed the guy behind me had the same answer, but I got no credit. I just showed her and I got credit. Didn't learn anything in class though. Hard to understand. She does problems on the board and half the time gets the wrong answer.

WOW. This was an easy class. You could pass this one deaf and blind. If you have a pulse... YOU CAN PASS. Take home tests and curves! Her accent doesn't make things easy but it's not the worst.

Earth Science Lab. I feel that professor o'connor is a terrible teacher. she was never in class 2ask questions and didn't care about the well-being of the students. i was 1of the few students who actually paid attention in class and did the work correctly and in return she decided 2 "misplace"my lab grade and act like she didn't know what happened

All I can say is that if u want to get a decent grade, she is the one to go to. She curves at the end....but her tests are just as hard as anyone elses. She is a very nice person in general, and really cares about u. if u have to choose between Oconnor and Neil Basescu for physics, i would choose Oconnor. They both are bad explainers though

If you have the option, take someone else. She is not a very good teacher as her explanations are very unclear, regardless of her accent. However, she's a tremendously friendly person outside of class and she makes herself available if you need help...she just doesn't explain things well, which makes learning physics very difficult.
