He is AWESOME!! His online class is amazing. Just watch the lectures, use his fill in the blank note sheet and take the quizzes every week! The best and easiest online class when you do the work. Does not take long at all. Only has two writing assignments but they are super easy and actually really fun to do. Amazing class and professor!!!!

This class is super easy. His weekly quizzes are directly from his lectures. Also the midterm and final are basically past quiz questions. As long as you do the work you should get an A.

Prof Hakanson is incredibly sweet, caring and understanding. His lectures aren't too bad. His quizzes are a bit tough because you barely have any time but he gives the option to do them online which are still timed but a little easier. 9/10 would recommend.

BEST ONLINE PROFESSOR EVER! He is so caring and understanding of his students. He made GES 103 (online) a useful, easy, and cool. Do the notes, do the quizzes, and do not miss the exams. He stays on topic and makes the subject informational. Kept the online class low maintenance just do not forget the weekly quizzes. A great professor!

Comment:

Fairly easy and would recommend online 100%. All online labs (except for the last one), with very clear criteria for the lab reports. Weekly quizzes were difficult with 10 questions and a 10 minute limit, but all information was in lecture notes. Midterm and Final based mainly on prior quiz questions. He responded to emails and kept up with grades.

This class concludes in just taking a bunch of quizzes/midterm/final. Every class he always has a powerpoint with notes which you have to write down and have to know for the quizzes (which can be taken from home). Also attendance isn't mandatory unless you want extra credit. Just make sure to pass all your quizzes or exams and you'll be fine.

He makes it really easy to pass, but you do have to study the material a little, because on the tests he changes up the words and it might not be the same answer as before. But all the first half of the quizzes are on the midterm and the other half are on the final.

I took the summer GES102 and my final thoughts are there is no better way to take this class. It consists completely of fully online labs, online quizzes, and online exams. Can really be a fair amount of work but its mostly just time consuming rather than difficult. Teacher is a cool all around guy and I think I would've enjoyed being in class also

10 question quiz every Monday. Lectures are posted online so no need to go to class. The midterm and final are just a bit changed from the weekly quizzes. Very funny and helpful. Only teaches you what you need to know and does not try to give you unnecessary info. If you keep up with the quizzes you will pass.

He has a good amount of information per week for lectures but its not extremely hard. I must have emailed him 10-15 times and he was extremely nice and very communicative every time. Hes a great professor and very compassionate. He really cares about you succeeding and also getting a good grade in his class

I read all of the comments. I agree that you should take a class with this professor. His approach to teaching is for you to succeed. It was only easy in the sense that it was clear what to do to do well. I am not a science enthusiast but I learned a great deal in a short amount of time. His lectures are informative and interesting. Great Professor

I took This class Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:30 am. Going to class was NOT MANDATORY. He posted all his lectures online and there was a quiz every Monday morning online as well. Ive only met him twice, for the midterm and final. Hes funny and its not hard to get a good grade as long as you keep up with the lectures and study!

The main thing you'll automatically notice is his accent, which corresponds to how his composure is. He is a funny professor and tells you exactly what to expect on the 12 quizzes as well as the midterm and final. Online portions of his lectures are available as well, however, days, where extra credit is given, is a great way to get an easier "A".

I took this class this summer and I can honestly say it was very easy. I made time to just do the quizzes once a week and listen to the lectures. I never bought the book. I would say if you have the choice to take this online rather than in person do it! Its worth it. You will get an A! Oh and the professor is great at answering emails FAST!

GO TO CLASS, it's optional, but you'll be more successful if you do, he's a funny dude, and if you pay attention to the lectures, you can do great, also if you study the quizzes given in class, the final will be much easier

A quiz every single week. A 50 question multiple choice midterm and final. Pretty easy class if you look over your notes prior to taking the quiz online. Going to lectures are optional, but he is hilarious and well worth it! I would definitely recommend taking any science course with him!

Super easy class. Grade was made up of weekly quizzes from the lecture, a midterm, and a final. You don't even have to go to class because he posts EVERYTHING you would ever need for the course online. Fill in notes for lectures. You also don't need the textbook, and thats coming from someone who usually buys it anyway. 10/10 would recommend

SUPER easy class. You don't have to show up as long as you can keep up with viewing the online lectures and taking notes within that week. Quizzes are online and can be taken in class or online. His lectures can be funny and he likes teaching. The notes have all the answers to the quizzes and tests and he basically gives you your grade.
