He was the best professor I had my first year of law school. You will LEARN CivPro - and if you do the work and put in the effort you will do well. I thought there was no way I would do well because he was so intense and so detailed, but I applied myself and got an A on his final. Hands down the most clear and and gifted teacher.

Avoid Perlman. It's true, he def knows his stuff, but he's arrogant and will make you feel stupid if you don't live and breath Civ Pro like he does. Get ready to use the casebook too, bc he wrote it (which he makes a point to say every single class). Avoid Perlman, unless you want to bust your butt and still feel overwhelmed and get average grade.

The finest professor at the University. Period. He is brilliant, succinct, and cogently conveys the most mundane and nuanced material in a clear (and sometimes fun) manner. Harvard Law and Yale educated. Very friendly--will even take a look at your course outline. You can tell his passion for teaching.

Great professor! His policy is very rational and reasonable, come to class, sign in if prepared, get credit for doing so. His exam is exactly what he taught. My advice is to get a Q & A book and go through the relevant topics. He doesn't hide the ball, his MC are what he taught. Study/print his slides, they are very helpful. Overall: One of the best

Yeah, Andy is the Chief Reporter for the ABA Commission on Ethics, so you could do worse for a ProfResp professor. His participation policy is nerve-racking if you sign up and are not fully prepared. He is super clear and organized, tho he does skip around in the casebook a lot. I didn't find MCQ's that hard, but then maybe I got a lot wrong.

Perlman is a great professor. The text/readings are pretty boring, but he makes the material interesting. Study the model rules and focus on areas where there is some disagreement/ambiguity (example - disclosure of information to 3rd parties/the court). Essay was pretty clear, but MC were tough.

You learn Professional Responsibility, and at the end of the day it is very important. That being said, he takes attendance and will lower your grade if you are called on and do not know the answer. Final= Essay/MC. MC are extremely difficult. Essay= Easy but thought provoking. If you want to learn PR take it with Perlman.

This guy was born to be a professor. Good guy, fun class and overall outstanding teacher. His midterm was fair and I felt the final was too. Use his practice exam questions - they are keys to what he will ask on the new exam. Make sure to go to the reviews and if you are unclear, see him out of class.

Excellent professor. Midterm was very challenging and came down to the final minute. Final was easier to manage. The concepts can be somewhat difficult and you need to know them to do well. However, if you take the practice tests he gives, do the reading, and rely heavily on his book, you should do well.

Not your traditional "Paper Chase" style professor. Clear, extremely well prepared, and helpful. Focus on underlying reasoning ("efficiency and fairness") and you will be just fine. Comments about exams being impossible are misguided. Just pay attention to the details and you will be fine. Great professor.

Outstanding professor - highly recommend. Very intelligent and clearly conveys info. He goes beyond covering the major model rules and spends a good deal of time focusing on the reason behind them and whether they should or shouldn't exist - something overlooked in most law classes. Exam was MC/essay; essay easy but MC very hard.

His final is impossible. I felt as it I had been abused at the end of it. He gives WAY too many mult. choice questions so you have no time to actually process it you have to just answer or else you will run out of time, he throws EVERY exception at you, and the essay was just impossible, not a clear fact pattern. SUCKS!

He seems to have a problem with the legal industry (big firms are bad, depression is rampant in profession, don't need degree to do 50% of legal tasks, protectionism is falsely propping up industry). I left most classes depressed about my decision to join it. However, he is a good professor, keeps the class as interesting as it could be and seems reasonable.

Good teacher. Very organized and explains concepts well. Read the E and E and also use the Glannon Guide to Civ Pro bc questions will be taken from there. Mid-term easy. Final difficult (make sure you know the 1st semester material). Example questions given out covered basically same issues on actual exam essay.
