Comment:
As long as you write up about 100 pages (substance not an issue) in response to his 30 page fact pattern project, you will get an A. The projects are recycled with only names and genders changed. Outdated and grossly ineffective style IMO. You wont learn anything in class unless you are capable of gleaning information from boring monologues.

This class made me want to fall asleep. You don't really learn too much in the class. You'll learn more from reading relevant parts of the book and doing the final project throughout the semester is what really gives you a basis for knowledge in the topic, not the class itself.

Worst class. Pure lecture, no help, doesn't read your project and probably ineb'd when grading

Sandoe know his stuff but his approach is all talk, talk talk - he should record himself onto CD and then skip the lecture. Your grade is based on final project where the object is to spot issues. Not that hard as he allows you to team up with other students. Write 100 pages and point out everything that can go or did go wrong and you've got an A.

Not the way I want to learn. Many copies of copious notes floating around, but very poorly written (tons of mistakes) so don't count on them. No textbook--just lots of cases that you barely touch on. It's a "canned" lecture that he's given so many times, he barely needs an outline. This could be so much more interesting. Worst class ever.

This was my least favorite class in all of law school. He literally stands in front of the class and talks nonstop the entire time. There is nothing engaging about this class and it is virtually impossible to take notes b/c he talks so fast. You will have to teach yourself T&E. It's too bad we don't have more options for this subject.

Trusts & Estates with Sandoe is a must. He will lecture for the entire time. Do not ask questions. All of his questions are rhetorical. Take this class with a friend, make sure one of you is always there for notes, and be prepared to write at least 50 pages on the final project. That he won't read. But it will be worth it, you'll get an A.

If you liked first year property, you'll like Sandoe and will do well. A firm grasp of the basics is all you need. Class is boring, but fortunately attendance is not a requisite for a good grade. He's not as up in the clouds as his colleagues.

Overall a good guy but as previously mentioned he can just talk for hours on end it seems. There's no textbook just a list of cases & statutes you can either buy or download. His final is a monster so get started as early as possible and be prepared to write pages upon pages - length definitely correlates with final grade.

Not my favorite. He talks at top speed the entire class without stopping to take a breath - not conducive to learning. If he had gone slower and focused more, I would've learned a lot more from him. He knows the material inside and out.

This class is a waste of your time. Sandoe does not teach, he talks. Be prepared to neither think nor learn. Sandoe's pedagogical approach has no place in law school.

Straight lecture. If noone asked questions or participated all semester, it prob. wouldn't bother him a bit. But the guy really knows his stuff. Helpful outside of class. He's effective (hence my ratings), but I found exam style cumbersome. Not much time for analysis on exam. Just issue spotting. Tough exam to get anything but in the B range.

Not a bad guy. He knows his stuff. Doesn't create a climate where students feel like they can ask questions. Huge final project. Read 25 page fact pattern and write a 20, 30, 40 page paper. Kind of a boring class though. He just likes to come in and lecture. One bubble off of plumb, howz that work for ya, just a thought.

Lucky for students to come that this class will no longer be required. Sandoe just goes off, doesn't really do anything besides long boring lectures and gives far too many off topic examples so that the material on the final is really not clear and wastes so much time that he has to give 'resource reading' assignments. What is that? Just teach.
