I took Comm survey during 2L and absolutely loved Prof Rustad, so much so that I personally sought him out for RA and ind. study opportunities . He is incredibly kind and patient as he goes through very difficult topics. Every class has thorough PP/notes with a ton of exam prep. He is an expert in his field and has been a huge influence for me

Beware of this guy. Yeah, he knows his stuff, but I found him to be cruel and abusive. He also shows classic grooming patterns. He can be nice to you one minute and build you up, but if he thinks you've crossed him, he puts you down the next minute. Being around such a mercurial personality is just not worth it. Get a more sane professor.

Professor Rustad is an incredible professor who truly cares about his students' ability to not only succeed in law school but beyond the classroom. Everyone needs to take Commercial Law with him. It is really a bar review class. I am in bar review now and am so appreciative of Prof Rustad for reviewing a lot of topics that appear on the bar.

If you can get past his anecdotes about family etc..., he has an encyclopedic knowledge of Art. 2 and tailors the course specifically for the MA bar. He's a bit goofy, but he grows on you. He comes off a bit arrogant at times, but get over it he knows the material.

Great professor that cares about his students being able not only to do well in his exam but also pass the bar exam. He's enthusiastic, well-prepared for class and expects students to be prepared. Also, he has a comprehensive teaching style where he would take the time to explain how other subjects relate to the topic of the discussion.

Prof Rustad is one of the best profs at Suffolk Law. His expertise in UCC 2 & 9 is topnotch. He provided me with key strategies to understand lengthy code provisions and tackle bar q's. He also sent out outlines, PPts, and recorded each class. Not an easy A, but hard work pays off. Highly recommended if you are interested in passing the bar......

He might have good credentials, but thats all they are, credentials. As a professor, as a teacher, hes terrible. I found him to be arrogant, egotistical, pompous, abusive, demeaning, disparaging, and just plain mean-spirited. Teaches to talk about how great he is and how lousy you are. Avoid this professor at all costs.

While I got a good grade and my hard work paid off, I have nothing good to say about this professor. His lectures are very disjointed and he is disorganized. His syllabus was a mess and his final exam contained several typos and errors. He can also be very disparaging and cruel to students at times. He is unpleasant and I would avoid him.

Although passionate about teaching, he has issues. He's very disorganized and quite mercurial. If he believes you've slighted him in any way, I've noticed he can be quite vengeful by taking it out on you in class. He mocks you, treats you in an abusive manner, and can be very brutal. I would avoid his class just to avoid his personality.

Funny guy, LOTS of pop quizzes and he grades them right in front of you. He will cold call you if he thinks you not paying attention, but you are allowed a "pass." I would say he is amusing but not very helpful even though his topic was a very interesting one.

He is a nice guy, but I really know way too much about his personal life, and not enough about the UCC. You can tell he really knows what he is talking about, but he gets distracted, even the final had typos. If you can put up with his own personal brand of teaching than he isn't awful, but he won't be very helpful.

An exceptionally intelligent prof.; has firm grasp of the subject. Conveys material to students very well via PowerPoint & real-life scenarios. Employs a soft socratic method; extremely fair and balanced, likes to engage students in-class. Provides in & out of class review sessions and problems. One of Suffolk's finest.

A very demanding, but thorough professor. Clearly dedicated to teaching and his students, takes a lot of time to make many materials available to students. You will learn the course and have a better understanding if you do the work and attend class prepared. Available after class to answer questions and clarify material.

Seriously with that exam? It's bad enough his course material was in disarray, but to have so many material errors on an exam is shameful. Learning from this man is an uphill battle. Avoid him if you can.

Awful and annoying. Syllabus revised 3x; assignment #s are shamefully unorganized; put reserve books under wrong course; course content on TWEN is a MESS! You'll spend half your semester just trying to figure out what material he is covering when you're on call-everyday. Teaches to talk about himself.Sit on his right side of the room to avoid him.
